    Free Lite version is here:
    iTunes Link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voice-answer-lite/id532522396?ls=1&mt=8

App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

This week, we have submitted our latest 'Siri' like application for all iPhones, iPods and iPads.

It is called 'Voice Answer', and can be considered as a sister product to 'Voice Ask', which we developed earlier.

Voice Answer uses strong speech recognition and speech output on top of a excellent knowledge engine. We are using Wolfram Alpha, among others, which is also the main source of 'Siri'.

We believe we have a strong alternative product to Siri:
    - It runs on iOS devices from 4.2 onwards, which is almost all of them. Unlike Siri, which only works on a 4S
    - The speech recognition works better than that of Siri, especially with foreign accents
    - The knowledge answers are spoken out, unlike with Siri.
    - There is an alternative keyboard input, useful when spelling out difficult phrases
    - Relevant images are presented with each topic
    - The chatbot 'Eve' can be taught details such as your family info, the name of your pet, the model of your car, etc.
    - The app is fully configurable: how much speech output, 'witty' chatbot on yes or no, how many items stored in memory

And anything 'Voice Anwer' can't do yet, will be added in future updates. Except the ability to change diapers.. :)

    [IMG][IMG]

Voice Answer can present geographical location details

    [IMG][IMG]

With Voice Answer you have an encyclopedia in your pocket, a guide for product comparison and lots more..

    [IMG][IMG]

Financial data will be spoken out whenever you need it.

    [IMG][IMG]

And you can switch on the Voice Answer chatbot 'Eve' to have a light, fun conversation.

If you have any suggestions or input for us, please let us know, and we will do our best to add this in upcoming updates. Thank you!

I can't find this app on the app store yet. Will it be similar to your other App, Voice Ask?

I like the look of the output from this app.

Hopefully 3rd party apps like this can push Apple to improve and expand Siri. I still think it's pretty lame how they limited it to 4S devices, when we pretty much all know it'll run on others.

Drelbs, thank you. Apple has taken the app 'in review' earlier today. We expect them to approve it this weekend..

Does that mean you stop developing Voice Ask further?
I don't think I need two apps of this kind.

Vovin, thanks for using Voice Ask. We intend to branch into two products:

Voice Ask will give information on more topics, and have a playful interface with the chatbot integration enabled by default.

Voice Answer will give more detailed information on a fewer number of topics, and will in particular be stronger in local based info and mathematics and financial data. The chatbot integration will be off by default.

For both products, we are continuing to develop the universal version, and other functions such as the messaging and reminder service.

Currently, Apple has requested more time to review Voice Answer though, so we are still not sure when it will arrive in the app store.

Unfortunately Apple has rejected the current version of Voice Answer for being too similar to Siri. We hope to be able to adjust it so that it can still be put in the App store.

See the latest video of Voice Answer:

    Bypass Apple with web-based Eve?

Are there plans to offer a web-based Eve that would effectively bypass Apple's opposition?

Finally, after three months of submitting, rejecting, tweaking further and continuous pushing, Apple has now accepted 'Voice Answer' into the app store!

This is great news if you want a 'Siri' like app on your new iPad, or on any device that isn't a iPhone 4S. Also, outlined in the earlier posts, Voice Answer is better than Siri in some respects.

The app is universal, so works wonderful on iPad devices, and is available on iTunes since a few hours. Check it out!

    First update has been launched!

This update fixes a number of issues, and introduces information on local places.

Ask Eve where is the nearest restaurant, hospital, police station, etc. and she will present the list of nearby places. This works anywhere in the world.

We are now furiously working on the next updates, which will include functions such as sending sms and email messages, setting appointments, playing music, and more. We will also enhance the location finding further, with more data sources and augmented reality view. And work is progressing on the robot animation, to enable a real time communication with the robot as shown in the promo video.

Thank you for your support so far, if you have any features you would like us to give preference to, let me know!

Update for Voice Answer: 'Siri' like app using Wolfram Alpha

We have now launched the second update for our next generation voice assistant app, Voice Answer.
This update now lets you find nearby places and guide you to them using augmented reality. It's practical, and of course really cool..

We are working hard on the next updates, which will include features such as voice assisted messaging, emailing, reminders, playing music, and much more. We are also introducing our animated robot, so you could, if you wish, talk to an fully animated robot that understands you and will respond to your questions with voice and gestures.

App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.

Work is ongoing for the next update. We are definitely going to introduce voice messaging and emailing, but the animated robot may have to wait until the next update. We will keep you posted!

Addding animated robot for upcoming update after all! Watch this space, as this will revolutionize the voice assistant scene on your iPhone or iPad!

With the upcoming update, Voice Answer will be able to do the following:

    - Send a message to a contact
    - Email a contact
    - Call someone
    - Post a Facebook update
    - Tweet a message
    - Play any song on your device
    - Translate any sentence into any language, and have the robot speak out the sentence with the correct pronunciation
    - Google search
    - Wiki search
    - Search local places
    - Set a reminder

And of course much more.. With the Wolfram Alpha database behind it, it can do complex mathematics as well as get the latest weather info or financial data, as well as any facts and details on any topic.

What else would you like your virtual assistant to be able to do? Let us know, and we may include it in the next update!

Voice Answer: the new generation virtual assistant

Today we have submitted the latest update for our voice controlled assistant app, Voice Answer.

This is a major update that turns Eve into an animated robot under your voice control.

You can ask her to send messages, emails, call someone for you, play a song from your library, do facebook or twitter updates, do google or Wikipedia searches, translate into any major language and more..

We are now waiting for Apple to review the update. It should be in the appstore in a week or so.

App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
