Of course the game contains an interactive tutorial, a guide, etc.
If you want to get what the game is about before getting it, you can refer to an old post in the forums: http://forum.tinycolossus.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9 for the basics.
Also this: http://forum.tinycolossus.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=321 for explanations about the single characters in the game.

I'm working on a support site with a similar guide, and an in-depth guide for strategy.

In other news, UFHO2 has hit the front page of the UK App Store and of other 31 stores across Europe, mostly at the #5 spot in Best New Games, which means right in the middle!

Is this game any good all? Seems like so little about this game anywhere, I thought it was supposed to be a big release, but nothing anywhere about this game. Strange.

I don't know what you mean by 'big release'. I'm trying to do what I can in spreading the word, but I'm just one person handling promotion and development, plus it's a complex game to market and it won't go viral so easily as a classic runner/shooter/match-3 game could do.

But I don't think that's an indicator of its quality...

Just a quick update: UFHO2 on iPad has been updated to 1.2. I added GameCenter support, Achievements, Leaderboards, changed some small details, and a new icon!

People kept telling me that the previous icon looked like a camera app... I don't really agree, but since player feedback is gold, I decided to listen and changed it into something more "character" than "stylish". I think it's more recognizable as a game now.

To celebrate, UFHO2 will be at 20% off... but for one day only!

I just picked this game up as I noticed it has been on sale for a while for just 99 cents. It has high production values and a nice tutorial and a single player campaign, which I am enjoying.

There is also support for local multiplayer and the online play is marked as "coming soon". The last update was in December of 2014, so who knows if that will happen but this seems to be a very cool game and it is a shame it never got much attention here. Definitely worth a look for iPad owning forums members who enjoy strategy games. There is also a free companion app available which has background information on the game's universe.
