Finally a decent beat-em-up on the iDevices? Could it be? Not a fan of fantasy, but a huge fan of beat-em-ups, so i'm interested. It looks definetly pretty, at least. I have 5 bucks sitting on iTunes, so i'll take the plunge if it's cheap. Beat-em-ups are overdone, but most devs don't realize you need to give the player options, control over the attacks and most of all, good hitboxes, like in Streets of Rage 2. Just pressing the button repeteadly isn't fun. The fact you could hit stun a guy, walk up, grab just at the nick of time and have all those options of throwing, back-throwing (over the enmies, even), letting go to do a power move, holding onto him to give your friend time to come over and so on... It all led to strategies over timing your moves. In fact, Streets of Rage 2 is the most replayable "action" game of all time, IMO. It's a shame that most beat-em-ups nowadays are actually an example of bad games. Hopefully this one will remember people how good beat-em-ups can be.
OMG! that looks f***ing epic! EDIT: any idea what the price is gonna be? reminds me of Yggdra Union by the way(albeit with more action).
looks great I hope there will be a 99 cents special launch offer xD cuz i havent got much left on my account =( >_< *praying to the developers xD*
Those are some brilliant looking sprites. If it plays anything like it looks, this will certainly be on my purchased list in the future.
I'm going to go for this. Not entirely sure if it's going to be more Castle Crashers than Final Fantasty, but I'm still going to give it a go.
For some reason this gives me a Dynasty/Samurai Warriors feel, where you have groups/armies of AI soldiers fighting against each other, but ultimately you're the one who can actually change things in the battle.
