Hi All, Here's a game that i've been working on for a while now. It's called SpellSiege. It's essentially a word game where you use your spelling to either attack or repair your castle. The game is a turn based multiplayer game utilizing the Game Center turn based system, so you're gonna need a Game Center Account. Anyhow, here's a gameplay trailer that I've put together. The game is universal. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Whether anyone's reading this, SpellSiege is gonna be delayed. Found a crash bug in my private beta and I don't have a clue what's causing it. Gonna have to figure it out. Couple with the fact I'm a one man studio and doing some contract work (gotta put food on the table), it's gonna take a while but I'm gonna try to get it out as soon as I can.
Looks good. Will it have a single player mode too? Some users will use online tools to enter letters and find the best words each turn. One way to limit that would be to include some quick battles, whereby you only get a few seconds to find a word ie: not long enough to enter all the letters into a solver app. There's an existing game called Spell Siege (with a space) - so you may want to get your own unique name: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=206684
About the game title, in the great word of one philosopher......doh. Looks like I'm gonna need to find a new title. That's a good point though, about the timer, just wondering whether this will be a turn off for folks who want to take their time solving it. Currently there is no single player mode. I had a discussion with a few buddies about it and I wasn't sure whether it's gonna really 'add' to the game.
Thanks for the heads up about the game title. It's now called a Word-a-pult and it's out now. Here's the TA thread: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=215292. The game also now has a one minute timer based on a few feedbacks from my beta testers and the concern that you have highlighted. Thanks you again and keep up the good word
