Yes, we do! After asking the community what the additional third mode of Orbital should look like, we were literally flooded with wishes and requests. At this point we would like to say a bold THANK YOU to everybody for posting their ideas here on Toucharcade, Twitter and Facebook. We are still amazed by the originality of every single one and are very proud to be part of such a great community. So, after several lively discussions we chose the 5 most promising contributions for the poll. The winner will be included in the coming third mode. The existing modes will not be modified! We are sorry for not considering some of the ideas, mostly because they would unbalance the game. Here we go: TOP FINISHERS 1) Aimed Mode Orb is shot where tapped (Non-oscillating turret). 2) Laser Guide Guide-Line that shows the precise path. 3) Progressive Scoring Bonus points for combos. 4) Chain Reaction The name says it all. 5) Stats Average score, orbs popped in total, playtime and so on. Please cast your vote and if you have any good, funny and sarcastic shouts for our robofriend, don't hesitate to post them below.
I voted for everything but laser guided...I just think laser guided would somewhat erode the skill of the player being a definer for scores as anyone could just take a lot of time to line up the perfect shot...with all of the other proposed modes, player skill and timing to shoot are still the big factor in determining success of a shot...and the mode just determines what happens afterwards as an effect.
I actually like the idea of laser guided shots for one reason... epic multipler games. The skill would be reduced, but in turn it'd raise the tactics needed to win. A nice variation I reckon.
I agree with DevGood. I hope all gets implemented except laser guided. I don't see why just one of these ideas can make it. Stats are essential in this type of game. And my slow motion replay idea at the end of the game would make it much more exciting and has no impact on any modes. Sorry to see that the strafing turret didn't make it....
I voted for everything except progressive scoring, I like that the score is strictly the number of orbs popped
Woot! We need more votes on the laser! Does no one else think that actually needing to make offensive/defensive tactics over simply having good aiming skills would be an interesting addition to the game? I'd like my multiplayer games to last a little longer, and this could be the key.
I voted for Chain Reaction, Stats and Progressive Scoring. Seeing how Chain Reaction is the only completely new mode i'd like to see it implemented.
vote chain reaction would be perfect for this game, but laser aim would just make it easier for people since they can get the perfect shot every time
Progressive Scoring, Chain Reaction and Stats all sound great! Whatever you choose to include will be great! This is still one of my all time favorite games.

You asked, so here are some suggestions for robo-voice comments to toss in occasionally in rotation with the existing ones ... For "Oops" (losing on 2nd shot): "Fail" "Doh" "Owned" For Game Over: "Doh" "Doomed" "Slacker" "Weak Sauce" "Once More With Feeling" For Double Hit: "Boom!" "Woot Woot" For Triple Hit: "More Cowbell!" "I Can Has Triple Hit?" "Three's Company" "Shake 'n' Bake" "Ho Ho Ho" (hey, the holidays are coming!) For Four In A Row: "Boom Chicka Bow Wow" "Smokin'!" For Five In A Row: "O.M.G. W.T.F. Five!" For Six In A Row (I've never personally gotten 7+): (anything different from 5 in a row!) Ok, some are cheesy. So suggest your own! And I would leave the screen text as-is, printing "Double Hit", "Triple Shot", etc, but that's just me.
