yep - new IPAs don't get backed up to my hard-drive. Anyone know how to ensure I can backup new Apps/IPAs?

That's what I'm now wondering, safeguarding future purchases. Was hoping the copy/paste trick you found out about would work in reverse somehow. No? (I haven't had to do that yet so I've got no idea)

Not that I can work out. Backing up phone to hard disk now via iTunes doesn't seem to back up Apps.

I bought two new apps this morning, went to my old iTunes on my second PC, searched for them on the store, and downloaded them with no problem. I now have ALL my old apps on PC, and ALL my new apps on PC. I assume now that the new ones are in my PC library, they will be updated as the older ones were just be checking for updates in iTunes.
I haven't tried to sync my ios11 iPad but don't see that there is any real point now. The only sync I care about is my music which works great with the new iTunes.

This may be obvious and I'm sure it's covered elsewhere but: how can I avoid upgrading to iOS 11? If I recall rightly, the newer firmware updates automatically download to your device and Apple repeatedly asks if you want to upgrade. If I just avoid going to Software Updates in Settings, will Apple leave me alone? As someone with borderline OCD, I cannot stand the annoying red icon that pops up over the Settings icon when Apple wants to remind you there's a new iOS update to download. Just can't remember if that only happens once you go into the Software Updates section of settings or not. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.

I think you have to choose to upgrade iOS. I'm the same though, I hate the notification of update thing. That's why i updated my mac OS - just to stop it telling me. Now i have that shitty new iTunes. Damn you, Apple!

Just install TVos profile beta on your device. It will stop the requests for upgrade. TVoS profile beta can be found with google.

Here is a tutorial on how to downgrade and go back to the old version of iTunes.

My screen name is misunderstood. I am not some arrogant person who thinks he's so cool. Cool, because I like cold weather and Pepper because I'm hot.
