So what's different in this? Anyone up to TOFTT this one? EDIT: Just noticed on the first screenshot it says episode 2. I guess it's a sequel then. I'll see what comes this wednesday/thursday, then i can decide on picking this one up. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #3 ojtitus, Apr 30, 2013 The app description says it's episode 1 & episode 2, so it sounds like it includes both games. I don't have any experience with this series but it looks pretty nice. I assume from the way the first one is set up that you paid for game just to have it become a demo with IAP unlock. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #4 Exact-Psience, Apr 30, 2013 Yup... That's about it, but it was all forgotten now. It's a decent Metroidvania game, but it did have some issues, which i hope have been tweaked in this new version. I believe I got the game for free, then i bought the IAP to unlock the rest of the game... Then eventually they let everything go free. Not the worst thing that happened, but im wary about getting this new version at $10. ojtitus Well-Known Member Jul 7, 2010 3,228 5 38 Male Canton, Ohio #5 ojtitus, Apr 30, 2013 Well if it makes you feel any better the US version of the first game is free with a $2.99 IAP to unlock episode 1 content and another $0.99 IAP to remove the ads. Looks like i bought this ages ago, i'll give it another go as there must have been some reason i had deleted it ages ago. Edit - Installed it, its not a 'bad' castlevania/metroid-ish type of game. Bit put off by some weird terms and conditions you have to accept at the start (think for online play), the version i've got must have been free as its $4.99 to remove ads. Quite a large file size and the price puts me off a bit smj Well-Known Member Feb 3, 2012 88 0 0 #9 smj, Apr 30, 2013 I beat the original episode one a while back. I thought it was excellent. It is a really good metroid style game. The only problem I had with it is it was a little bit too grindy. If this one fixes that, its a must have. dexter77 Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 389 0 0 #10 dexter77, Apr 30, 2013 Video?? psj3809 Moderator Jan 13, 2011 12,747 543 113 England #11 psj3809, Apr 30, 2013 Ha ha perhaps Sanuku has his day job to worry about Theres a video for the original version here... http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=159656&highlight=Lemegeton Nadante Well-Known Member Jul 9, 2012 52 0 0 #12 Nadante, Apr 30, 2013 I found none of these games when searching the forums. Looks like a bargain bin castlevania from the PSX days. Echoen Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 2,114 3 38 USA #16 Echoen, Apr 30, 2013 There's a free version on Android with ads if anybody wants to try this game. I feels like it has a lot of potential (with nuances like engrish and odd movement while firing a gun) but I couldn't test it much since the frame rate dies at the 2nd boss everytime I start the battle. And yes, Guacamelee and Soul Sacrifice are Playstation Vita games. Guac's a metroidvania too. Overall it`s really hard to recommend the Game at all since a.) Lantansia did made the last time Lemegeton in less then a Month Free2Play and probably screwed over a few thousand Day One Buyer with that and b.) didn`t even tried to fix the Control System which is just simple a pain in my ass and I`m often more fighting with it and spending more time that way instead enjoying those Boss Battles in the Game. Dragon3leg Well-Known Member Aug 13, 2009 66 0 0 It Fairfax va #18 Dragon3leg, May 1, 2013 I can't believe I'm going to say this but sanku I have to disagree with your review of the game. I haven't had issues with the controls at all, while I admit the translation is poor at best this game is actually a pretty solid Metroidvania game. While the controls aren't super precise I've never found myself stuck or facing a Demon I couldn't defeat. I will say that it seems the demon difficulty level ramps up closer to the end of episode one and may require some grinding for gold but other than that it's the only Metroidvania game that's come out on the iOS this year that's worth the price. I didn't get it when episode 1 was released so no bitterness for going free to play here.. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #19 Exact-Psience, May 1, 2013 LOL... for $10? Im fine paying $4 for it, as I did pay for the first game, but if the controls are the same as the first version, then it's still kinda hard to call it worthy of a 10-buck price tag. Oh, and you might want to check out Ark of Sinners instead. It's kind of Castlevania SOTN for iOS with horrible English translations. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
