Presented without comment. Looney Labs' Fluxx is coming from Playdek this Fall: http://www.looneylabs.com/fluxx-ios More details: http://www.playdekgames.com/games.php?games=fluxx_page.php&title=Fluxx It looks like this is a new simplified version of the game. Also available in real form at Target.
there was a live chat with the creators of fluxx on youtube. some highlights talked about: -early december release (at least by christmas) -expansions planned for the future -they kind of demoed the game on their ipad and iphone -there will be achievements (gamecenter not specified, but assumed) -2-4 players (pass & play, online, and AI players) -android version depends on playdeck, but it's unannounced the angle and lighting was poor, but it looks like what you might expect from playdeck. you can watch it here: http://youtu.be/GKQAQXl1Iz8
According to Playdek's Twitter, the game was submitted for approval on Friday. Looking forward to playing this!
Looney Labs just tweeted that the app has been approved. However, they referred to the release as "in the next coming week or so." Disappointed that they aren't releasing upon approval.
Yeah that is unfortunate. I was hoping to get my hands on this one real soon but it looks like maybe we have to wait til Wednesday? At least it will be out at the latest this coming week!
I was thinking the exact same thing! I just saw Cthulhu Fluxx on the web site yesterday and I SO hope they will include it! That would be amazing!
According to Board Game Geek (Link), it will be released on Thursday, December 13 for $2.99USD as an universal app. Can't wait!
This is Playdek. There WILL be expansions. I'm guessing Zombie and Cthulhu will be first. But, also since this is Playdek, we probably won't see them until the middle of next year. Doubt we'll see blanks, though. Not really sure about how that would work in an iPhone app.
yeah I don't know how blanks would work, but I'm always thinking up new deck themes that would never get officially licensed...and buying real blanks isn't really an option for an entire deck (you'd end up with too many of some types of cards). I think zombie fluxx would be an easy first choice, but Cthulhu fluxx always seemed a bit niche to me. I think zombie fluxx was when they introduced creepers, and pirate fluxx was the first time they had surprise action cards...so maybe pirate fluxx would be good.
