Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #7 Exact-Psience, Mar 26, 2013 Tilt to live was fun because you get to attack. This was exhausting because it was all avoid-everything while picking up a few gold dots. And tilt still isnt my thing. So yeah... Deleted. EDIT: aw... Forgot i bought this off my US account. I guess it helped me remember why i deleted it back then. mrbiggles Well-Known Member Jul 3, 2012 3,691 0 0 Like retired USA #8 mrbiggles, Mar 26, 2013 thanks for the info, checked and must have gotten Tilt to Live HD for free but never played it. will test both out. look like same company makes On The Wind, another got for free but never played Habakuk Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2008 4,779 9 38 Vienna, Austria http://rossau.wordpress.com #9 Habakuk, Mar 26, 2013 Last edited: Mar 26, 2013 The fighting letters Obviously you never got a power-up in EEK (I needed ten or twenty or thirty deaths for my first one). When you get the (time limited and VERY valuable) power-up you CAN attack (sort of—smash into asteroids) because you are invincible. The skillness is to get more and more (ideally seamless) power-up modes. Read the short but important help file. Keep your ship in the middle of the screen. Pure avoidance. For tilt lovers like me it's a must have. The controls work pretty good. You can switch sensitivity in three steps. Auto calibration on starting the game or on leaving the pause function. Look at Lord Gek's score (4,291 world rank #22), unbelievable (but he never makes smashes)! Make at least one smash and you will be in the upper 5% of the world ranks. The global rank lists are valid (except the #1 in some lists, obviously a hacker) because there are no IAPs where you can buy advantages. I have to admit that it's brutally hard. It has the same mechanics but other tactics as Tilt to Live, I see it as a well-made casual and hardcore variant. Love how all elements (inclusive the eeks) appear as written words, never seen that before (like a comic without pictures). Interesting blocky transitions of the menu screens. EEKY sounds. Good enemy AI. Nice complementation in my collection of tilt games—a genre where iOS always was pioneer. So if you don't fear the challenge and can bring a tiny bit of patience and skillness for success in highscores: BUY! AndyC83 can help you, he's at #3 on the leaderboards. The only thing I know is that it's important to complete the gc-achievements because they increase your multiplier. Try to survive 40 seconds, then try to collect 20 gold and so on.. your score will get better automatically. But I'm curious what Andy says about the scoring system, it's a bit confusing. Edit: And I don't know what a "smash" is. Maybe if I get a power-up, i can smash through the asteroids?! Whether playing on an iPad or iPhone/iPod touch be sure to hold it at a distance where your eyes can take in the entire playing field. Of course focus on getting your multiplier up by completing achievements which in itself can be frustrating. Try to mind the blast radius between comets and asteroids. When they decay it's safer Remember its safe to pass through the tail of a comet or asteroid- this is important when you have to make a quick getaway! when you pick up enough gold there will be a pink power up that will allow you to smash everything for a brief moment( the music changes while its activated) Of course there are times when it's wiser to stay put and not try to get that pink power up all for the sake of staying alive. Mind you the higher you get your multiplier the more hectic the gameplay becomes from the outset. Other than that have good reflexes and good luck.
