Letterorites is a typing game in the classic tradition of the genre, requiring players to type rapidly a list of falling letters in order to score points and advance through the title’s levels. Players must contend with a variety of tricky obstacles and enemies in order to keep up. Letters left untyped will strike the player’s “home base,” causing damage. After enough damage has been suffered, the player’s point and typing scores are given at the game over screen. Gameplay itself is structured around the device’s native keyboard. This allows for the use of your own hardware as you always have, improving your typing performance right at the source. Moreover, the different statistics in which you can score can be shared locally and globally for added challenge and fun. Letterorites includes a variety of special upgrades and performance enhancing items, as well. In addition to several cannon types—used to obliterate falling letters—Letterorites also gives a variety of letter “enemies” to contest.
