Maybe I just suck at this, but I can't get past phase 1.
Hard is fun, if you're rewarded for effort and learning from your mistake.

So far I have no reason to continue

Yep, it always resets to the beginning of Phase 1 for me as well.

I've scored 18,170 on my best run. (I've died twice in the part right after where you got stuck.) I've found that you need to ignore the moving platform, and just jump between the diamonds. Wait for stuff to fall, then jump to the next diamond, and stay ahead of the platform, because it'll push the crap up at you.

There are a few places I've found where the game can present unwinnable situations because of the intentional variance they've added to the physics system. The "stuck orb" spot is one of those, I think.

The developer wrote on youtube that they pulled it because they'll be rereleasing with a publisher. (And also that they've added a checkpoint system.)

Default Too Hard!! But intense fun

The game gets you going the moment you pick it up. It has the feel of badlands to it in aspect of puzzles and the precise actions.

Loving it.

This game is so difficult, I am glad the update created check points so you don't have to start the entire level over. That was part of what made it super hard vs being hard.
