Is this true? If so what is the point of buying this if you can't loose? Or does it get harder?

This game is a surprising amount of fun, I like that you control the sheild and the lance. So you're managing your attack and your defense at the same time, it's also nice that you can use skills from different skill sets together. This really offers a nice variety of ways to play and the destructible armor makes it fun to knock your opponents helmet off or any other piece of armor.
The name of the game is a little off though as in jousting you use lances not spears, so the title really should have been Shake Lances but I guess that doesn't sound as catchy.

So where does this game get its name? Not that it really matters if it's fun to play, but I don't see a single spear in any of the screenshots.
Aaaaaand, Shakespeare wasn't even around in this time period (unless knights were still jousting in the late 1500s). Its like they totally blew both sides of the pun. 0 for 2 This type of thing shouldn't bug me but it does. Just sayin'... Last edited by Ubisububi; 07-16-2011 at 12:51 AM.. |

In my humble opinion, the name of the game is cool. From what I understand, as far a weapons are concerned, a lance is categorized as a member of the spear family (Please correct me if I'm wrong). As for Joisting's time period, well that's a toss up...from my little research, it looks like Joisting went on the decline in the 1520's when the musket was introduced. Don't know if it completely disappeared by the time Shakespeare came on the scene...but for me, that's not a big issue, so I think the name is very cool. What I find is that the game play is pretty repetitive, at least in the lite version I played. The graphics are very well done, and the game mechanics is really well executed, but I'm disappointed about the repetitiveness!

A possibility I'm curious about after watching Sanuku's videos and reading FPE's reports: could the iPhone and iPod Touch version have different enemy AI than the HD version does, currently?
I just jumped back into the game to re-check this (on my iPod Touch), and sure enough the AI is mixing things up nicely for me. A few cases in "point" :![]() ![]() ![]() I actually came away with the impression that the game's fairly tough, especially when enemies begin rolling out their own skills/magics. Judging from Sanuku's videos, the enemy skill usage, at least, is comparable to enemy behavior on the iPhone/iPod Touch version. Looks like the lance and shield raising behavior could be different though, comparing these screenshots from the iPod Touch version to FPE's reports of the iPad version.
