appdiscovery tool business and development queries

We are creating an appdiscovery tool for games and apps on itunes like appshopper. We are based in India but we are targeting worldwide ios games and apps users. We went through all the details and faqs listed on your sites but we still have some queries. We want to earn commissions on apps and games downloaded through our site and app. How much commission will we make on a download of 0.99c. If its 5% will it be on 0.70/ 0.30/ 0.99 ?

If we are targeting worldwide apps and games users do we need to register on all these four programs:

United States—LinkShare
Japan—LinkShare Japan
Australia & New Zealand—dgm

In this case will our affliate code change or what will happen. Do we have to have to make separate versions of apps and sites.

Can anyone please guide and give us right directions on how should we go forward.

I've recently registered with Linkshare only as USA is the biggest market in my opinion. Normally you just set 1 link but you can create some script which will check location of your user and will give him proper link. I dont know how difficult it is and if it is possible. Another, easier way to use more than one affiliate program is to use GeoRiot.com. I dont use it but i will concider it later. They advertise it as a win-win situation. If you will register on every affiliate networks and will set USA as your base country, they wont take any % from it, but instead they will take 13-15% from another countries that you wouldn't normally earned without them. You dont even dont need to pay them, they take few % by your links. I wont write much as it's more complicated. More here:

Btw. i dont know about commision rate but i guess it's 5% from 0.99$ for example. If someone could confirm it would be nice.

Hodofca, thanks for the intro on GeoRiot!

And to confirm the question - Yes, the commission comes out of total of the price of the app ($.99 in this example) and is taken from Apple's 30% cut.

However, it's important to know that it's a 5% commission in US, CA, AU and NZ. The commission is 4% in the 17 programs in Europe and Japan.
