Looks good. Would I be wrong in saying that combat is more focused on area attacks on multiple enemies rather than one at a time, using gestures/ icon taps?

Currently learning iMaschine and Garage Band.

Yes you are correct. The game is based on area of effect spells, with different ranges. It's very combo based, meaning you can't just spam skills and hope to go very far, there are mechanics you have to account for.

The usage of skills is like the usual placement of towers in a tower defense game, you touch the icon and drag to the place where you want to use it.

Well, thanks

About the beta test, we are still not sure. If there are quite some people in this forum willing to beta test the game we will probably organize that for touchArcade users.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that this will be a universal app as that's always a welcome bonus.
The development is going according to plan so expect this to be available around mid august or earlier.

In the video, it just shows 3 spells. Are those the only things in your arsenal, or are there other things you can use to combat the monsters?

There are 3 spells plus the basic shot you begin with. The spells aren't available right away so you'll have to unlock them as the hero gains experience points. XP also allows the evolution of spells. There will also be other heroes to choose from with different abilities, although our first release will probably only have one. Others will come through updates for sure.

We are setting up a beta test using Test Flight App ( https://testflightapp.com/ ). It will soon be available and we'll post more details about it. You can register in advance and provide us with your registration email so we can invite you once it is set up.
