Based solely off the video, I would say that the pyro is female. But after all the information that has been collected over the past few days on the steam forums, there's a chance that the pyro is a monkey.

Yes! I really like the soldier item, sorta like the scout set. The pyro gun looks like a good utility weapon, but I don't see how it will be good for a kill. I mean, if you wanted it for knockback, you would want the degreaser so you could switch weapons faster. But even so, one of the main selling points of the degreaser is it's the only other flamethrower with an airblast that costs the standard amount of ammo. I would rather just use the Degreaser's airblast with a normal flare gun and the Axetiguisher. Although it might be good for a defensive pyro so you could knockback spies.

Yeah, not much use for the new flare gun. The new rocket launcher sounds amazing, but it will be a pain in the arse when you run out of ammo though.

•••Spoiler:  Although they never show the Pyro's face, I believe it is a girl. First of all, at the beginning of the song when in the rainbow land, they say, "a young girl's heart". Plus I believe that the flowers and rainbows are supposed to represent some super-stereotyped surreal vision of what a little girl likes. But I do think he/she, WHATEVER it is, had a very demented childhood.
