That controller looks great but wouldn't it be better if the "gas", "brake" were on the right side of the controller and the directional pad was on the left? It just looks backwards like this

Yep, it's one of the "Yeah we know but.." situations. : )

We've steering wheels and steering wheel-like controllers on all other cars and those are placed on the right hand side of the screen. It would be hard to re-orientate to steer from the left with the 8 Bit controller, though it would be "technically correct". We are thinking about adding an option to flip the controls but waiting to get more feedback on that, is it really needed etc.

not tried yet, but I'm with MJFox on iCade. Works great on a little game called Sideways Racing that reminds me of yours. Raiding Co would be good too (or just do Gauntlet from scratch). All the best with everything.
