New Vir2L title -- Base Jumper

Hey there, my name’s Matt – I’m the Community Manager at Bethesda Softworks. I wanted to let you know that Vir2L Studios, the sister company of Bethesda Softworks, has released a new iPhone title, Base Jumper, which is now available on iTunes.

Here’s a part of our press release for the title:

Experience the high intensity adrenaline rush of Vir2L® Base Jumper™ on your iPhone and iPod touch. Master the control of free flight over mountains, through canyons, and between the highrise towers of a metropolis. Freefall at maximum velocity with one of the most extreme sports the world has ever seen. Zip up your flight suit, spread your wings, and soar with Vir2L Base Jumper! Can you handle it?

Suit up, dive in, experience the rush with Vir2L Base Jumper: No safety gear required.
  • Key Features:
  • Customize your jumper with parachute style and design, suit, helmet and smoke color.
  • Zoom through three intense levels including the Grand Canyon, Swiss Alps, and cityscape.
  • Tilt and turn your handset as you steer your way through the skies with the accelerometer.
  • Collect rings to score points, but don’t tag a cliff on the way down!

Check out the trailer for the game here and screenshots below.

If you’re interested in checking out the game, it’s available on iTunes here.

Let us know what you think...hope you enjoy it.

Warning about this game

Poor control mechanism, lame graphics, and lousy game play.
One of the worst games I've purchased.

"Todd Howard, Bethesda Softworks' executive producer responsible for Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls series, indicated that one of Bethesda's very next projects is an iPhone game."

It has been a couple months.. any update on what you all are working on?

Sorry, but I thought it was terrible. The graphics are bad and the controls don't work well and the gameplay is boring. Sorry, but I like to be honest when it comes to game feedback.
