This along with cut the rope 2 are probably the only two games I plan on buying tonight. Maybe colossium horoes but I'll wait for impressions before taking the plunge on that one.

kinda strange that they have a non-retina enabled version for $2 and a retina enabled HD version for $4. Can anyone tell me how the graphics of the cheaper version look on a 4th gen? I've kinda gotten used to retina graphics

This give Peggle a run for its money. While it doesn't have frills like replays and such each level is fun to play. Great production value and is genuinely charming, which is something that always felt a little forced in Peggle, in my opinion. Peggle feels clinical until the final celebrated ball while this game has the little baby creatures bouncing around while the mother reacts to every round, even when balls bounce back at her.
The game attempts to adorn the Peggle formula with the personable characters now found in popular Appstore casual games, and I think it succeeds. Add this to Temple Run as another must purchase casual game surprise this week. The retina thing is a bit confusing yeah. |
