amn624 disconnected about 30 minutes into our game tonight We had a three person game between myself, amn624, and a random player (I think, his name was MacDaddy). I ended up finishing the game pretty quickly with the players replaced by AI, and I ended up winning 54 (to MacDaddy's/AI's 50, despite having three big buildings and amn624/AI's 46).

If we want to make this a regular thing, we will need a chat system, especially in the case of disconnects. Google chat works fine but do any of you use Google+? We can always use the Hangouts feature there if you all have laptops with mics?

For crying out loud, it wasnt me. mAcdaddy149 disconnected. MAcdaddy was one of the original players, that is hardly a "bot" name. Anyway I waited at least five minutes for another move and gave up.

I'm sorry, I hadn't seen his name come up here in the last couple of pages. From my screen it had looked like he was a player found randomly via GC. And again, I am sorry about saying it was you who had disconnected. Again, I was just going off of what the game had said.

Once again, we really need a chat system for games like this to avoid misunderstandings like this.

Can you play 2 player Puerto Rico with this?

*edit* - whoops found the answer at boardgamegeek - "The app does play the official 2-player variant."

If u want to buy Puerto Rico only for playing 2-player variant - don't do it. Puerto Rico for 2 people is not it.

Version 1.1 in sight

At long last, we have submitted Puerto Rico 1.1 to Ravensburger for their approval. Then it's on to Apple approval.

So, we're hopeful you'll be able to play a turn-based (a.k.a. asynchronous) game online before the end of May!

This version also includes:

- a major improvement to the AI for all "sizes" of game (2 to 5 players)
- custom online game creation (add AI, etc.)
- a more user-friendly online game "lobby" for managing games
- asynchronous chat

Happy gaming!
