Star Chase universal out now 99c

My first game for the iPhone and iPad is now out.

Description
Introduction price set to 0.99c, will go up shortly.

Destroy countless Alien enemies as fast as you can in this dual stick retro style arcade shooter. Then collect as many stars that the aliens drop when they get destroyed as fast as you can before they disappear.

The number of stars you collect are added together from game to game so your position on the Total Stars Collected Leaderboard will always be changing.

Compete with your friends to be number one on three Game Center Leaderboards - Stars collected in a single game, Total Stars collected or the Highest Score.

Would you like to switch the virtual joystick over - not a problem - select yes so that the left joystick fires and the right one controls your ship instead of the default which is the other way around.

Features:
Control your ship with one joystick and shoot with the other joystick for independed ship and bullet direction.
Double tap to drop bombs.
3 Game Centre Leaderboards
19 Game Centre Achievements with more on the way
Power ups to help destroy more enemies or restore your shield

Star Chase v1.1 ready to submit - video game play demo

Optimised sprite drawing code.

Added particle effect for bombs with particle explosion ring

Added New stars to collect:
Gold stars = 500 points
Purple Stars = 300 points
Blue Stars = 250 points
Red Stars = 200 points
Green Stars = 150 points

judging from the screens, it really looks like the control sticks are a tad too low and small... =o/

Bought it, have to say it all looks a bit dark on my iPhone 4... Hard to tell the enemies from the background

A promising start, but needs work

Cool, I had another play through and have a few other things of note..

As a dual stick fan, I don't really like how if u hit the edge of the screen you appear on the other side.

As mentioned before, maybe lighten up some of the darker enemies

And thirdly, you spelt achievements wrong on the main title screen

yes a friend pointed out the achievement button error and it has been fixed in v1.1 that is being reviewed now by Apple.

v1.1 also has different coloured stars and a exploding ring particle effect when you drop a bomb by double tapping the screen

v1.1 also has some code optimisation.

To help with the dark screen and enemies not showing up I have created several different background images in different colours and you can change the background by swiping up and it will be part of v1.2 update that I should have submitted by the end of the week.

v1.2 will also pause the game if you release both joysticks.

Still playing with the joystick placement and size - it my not be ready for v1.2 but I will try to get it done in time.

Again thanks for the feedback, I am a single indie developer and value your input.

Version 1.2 of Star Chase is out

Game now pauses automatically when you release both virtual joysticks

While the game is paused, double tap the screen to change the background colour

New enemy to kill

Fixed minor sound bug

Put a Yellow glow around the player
