Default Jailbreaking Questions

I was thinking about jailbreaking my ipod, and had some questions because im pretty much clueless with the whole thing. i have an ipod touch 2nd gen. (also have a mac if that means anything)

Is there any chance to get in legal trouble?
How to get started?
Is there any key things i need?
Is it hard to do?
If you download apps of some sort, do they go onto your itunes when you plug it back in? (i hope not!)

And anything else that i would need to know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I Don't know about legal troubles but if you send it to apple jailbroken so they can fix it they wont fix it.

To get started you need to install QuickFreedom. Then install the requirements. It will tell you want you need. Plus you need that DFU enabler thing as stated below.

Jailbreaking on a mac, Never done it on a mac but you need to do something to enable DFU Mode. Otherwise it WONT work. (Youtube.)

It's easy, just follow the steps. Or go look for a Youtube Video.

What do you mean download some apps of some sort?

....... just don't. Simple as that. When I had my iPhone jailbroken, it was really buggy, it kept on crashing and white-screening (have to wait until the battery runs out, and you lose everything) and nothing ran smoothly. I restored my iPhone back to factory settings and now it is fine. For me, it was like my iPhone was diseased when I had it jailbroken. So, I wouldn't reccommend it.

I have JB'ed multiple devices ever since it was possible to do so and I have never had the above mentioned problems.

An isolated inccodent maybe?

Or possibly wreckless installing.

The above mentioned problems are possible if your carelessly installing apps or ad hocs and plugins
