This looks really cool. I like the fact that you can level up. Man, I'm slowly going broke a couple bucks at a time. Lol.

Arcane Ghosts has just been released and it is available at the Appstore!

Arcane Ghosts is a 2D "metroidvania" arcade inspired by the classics, specially by Castlevania and Ghosts'n Goblins.

Fight undead myths, obtain new habilities, find keys, secrets, and much more.

Works in iPad 2 or newer devices, and iPhone 4 or newer devices.

Already working in new version with some cool add-ons, like icade support and GameCenter score/time ladder.

Hope you like it!

I've only played about 15 mins of it so far, but I like it a lot. Like I said before, I like how you can gain experience and new abilities. I will say that the game is tough as hell! It's definitely inspired by the old classics. At least there are save points spread out here and there. Controls seem to work well. I know I had some issues at first trying to run and jump over spikes, but most likely it was MY fault and not the controls. I can't give my full recommendation on it just yet because I'm so early into the game, but I would be safe to say that if you like a challenge and dig the old side scrollers like Ghost n Gouls, then you will most likely enjoy this. I'll be able to give a better review after I dig into the game a little more, but if you do decide to buy it, be prepared to die.......a lot! Lol

I agree with NOEN that it's hard and you'll die a lot, really frustratingly lot.
The controls are responsive but the precision is...well, not on the players side, by far not (imho). Maybe the double jump gets better (upgradable?) but from the get go it seems pretty useless to me, can't do it in mid-air and not changing the direction as well. To trigger a left/right jump, you slightly need to push the direction first. Maybe i'm too spoiled from many other games but i definitely don't like it here.

The charm is here as well as the homage to old school gaming and from the video i was clearly warned: hard game !

I never minded the Devs giving five stars to their own game, but this is not one of them, in MY books.
