Holy carp! I have no idea what I just watched, but the music was epic and stuff was exploding all over the place! After last nights disappointment in releases, this was awesome!

Downloading now, hope it's fun!

*** edit

Played the first couple of stages and it's slick so far. Feels like one of those Defend your base/castle games, but in 3D.

One issue, is there a way to flip orientation? I can't seem to find an options menu and it doesn't auto flip.

More impressions later...

Thanks MicroByte! Sorry about the orientation issue, but a couple technical issues forced us to go landscape right. Hope you still enjoyed all the awesome explosions!

Game Impressions

I grabbed it and am having a blast so far!

It feels a bit like playing a game of high stakes dodgeball against a huge horde of zombies! Only you have a cool array of 6 specialized balls to choose from (once unlocked) for each toss (well more like flick) and your opponents are just a bunch of blood thirsty cubes.

You have an unlimited supply of your main blue ball (even though soon enough it too will have really cool special powers) but with all of the other 5 balls you first need to unlock their use in general and then buy each individual shot of that ball. FEAR NOT! While this would too often seem the perfect place for a lesser dev to go all IAP on you, the balls seem to just be purchaseable via the game's in-game currency which is simply the combined scores of every session you've played. So far even the most expensive unlockable would only require a decent player to save up his earnings from a few games, so nothing is really completely out of reach there.

I have only seen the first 5 levels or so but am loving their diversity. So far it seems on each level the player is presented with some elaborate 3D structure be it craggy cliffs to a giant tree that the menacing cubes will come flooding out of trying to get into your sacred circle. Once 3 slip through the level ends. If you manage to survive tne onslaught and kill each and every cube you'll get a star rating based on your score and unlock access to the next level. Since each level will always have a set number of killer cubes to assault you with, the key to the big points is taking out large groups out at once for big combo bonus points. This can be done by the ball you used having a potent area of effect attack or just by the debris of one killed cube taking out another cube which in turn has its debris take out another and so on.

5/5

Played through most of this last night and loved it. The graphics are perfect, the attack options are diverse, and it is certainly original.

Great job, ShockPanda.
