Join Barry as he breaks in to a secret laboratory to commandeer the experimental jetpacks from the clutches of science evildoers. After lift-off, simply touch the screen to ascend and release to descend, raining bullets, bubbles, rainbows and lasers downwards as you fly towards higher and higher scores!

You'll start off with the legendary Machine Gun Jetpack to scatter the evil scientists, but throughout each game you'll collect coins and complete missions to earn cash and buy new gear in The Stash! Pick your favorite jetpack, snazzy outfit and stock up on items then get back out there for more action!

Keen reflexes are your best weapon to avoid the obstacles in your path. These include lasers, electricity fields and even guided missiles, but thankfully this is a top secret lab - there will be even more goodies to pick up and help Barry along the way. Stay out of harm and you'll reach massive scores, unlock Achievements and beat your friends on the online leaderboards!

Get a boost of speed and power using the Lil' Stomper, Profit Bird and Crazy Freaking Teleporter, just a selection of the vehicles pickups available - all playable with one touch controls. You can even splash out and upgrade the vehicles with coin magnets or shiny gold plating for that bonus style factor!

Stay alive, get funky and lose yourself in Jetpack Joyride. There's so much to see and do, all the time in the world and more than enough jetpacks! As always, Barry Steakfries will provide!

So, I've had the preview build for quite some time and this game is simply crack! I'm not really spending much time at TA anymore but there was no way in hell I could stop myself from posting about this game. I love me some endless runners and have played (and loved) quite a few of them. Jetpack Joyride is without any doubt The absolute best I've tried in a long time. Every g-damn iPhone game 'claims' to be highly addictive and polished but in case of Jetpack Joyride, it IS the case. Once you get into it, you wont be able to stop yourself until you unlock everything in the game, which will take you about 6-7 hours appx. And then there are collectible tokens (or w/e they are called, mot sure) which you recieve once you complete all the mini goals in game. Now those are going to take you a life time to get them all as you get only one per cycle of in game goals. Not something I intend to do intentionally, but I dont mind the fact that the game does reward me a little as I continue to play it even after I've unlocked all the stuff.

About the gameplay itself, Eli already posted a preview a few days ago which explains it very well. I wont be able to do a better job anyways so check that out instead. Its got lasers, missiles, zappers, powerups, coins, shit load of ridiculously awesome unlocakables, missions, spin tokens and even more crap that will keep you playing until your iDevice' battery runs dry. BUT the best part for me is how great the game looks. The graphics are just fantastic. Watching the screeshots and videos will give you some idea how it looks in action, but so far, I dont think any of the videos/images do justice to the game I played on the ipad. Its just absolutely gorgeous to look at. The unlockables are just awesome and the only thing I could for here is.. MORE! More missions, more unlockables, more of everything else this game has.

Another cool lttle thing I liked is the the automatic snapshots. The game will take one snapshot per game randomly at any point of time during your game. This results in some really funny snapshots quite a few times. I saved over 50 of them but unfortunately lost them thanks to the iOS 5 beta on my iPad >.<

And btw, before some smartass 8yr old tries to diss the game for having IAPs and claims the game is 'obviously' balanced in favor of them, DONT! It has IAPs but everything can be unlocked by playing the game and the fact is, it is FUN to play the game and unlock them yourself. The IAPs are there if you want to try all the jetpacks, clothings etc without waiting to unlock manually. But you can unlock them without too much effort anyways, so no real need to buy any IAPs. The game is a ton more fun without them. The only practical reason why you'd want to buy IAP (IMO) will be if you want to say thank you to halfbrick (assuming you enjoyed the game enough).

In the end, if you even remotely like endless runners, dont think twice before grabbing it. Even if you dont, atleast watch the gameplay videos, read the previews, reviews and if it looks anywhere close to interesting, grab it. You wont be disappointed.

I loved monster dash too so for me both are great. This one appeals a little more to me thanks to all the unlockables. In the end, its just 99cents and will have a crap load of reviews (on other blogs) and impressions on the forums. So cant really be all that difficult a choice. Just for for other impressions (I'm sure not everyone will like it as much as I did) and see for yourself.
