Love the update on the boar dungeon. I might crisply head there now instead of power dungeon. My favorite rpg on the app store and a must buy for fans of RPGs.

Ah, that makes more sense. It also explains why the weapons are showing up so much more than the other items. In a 4 item set the weapon is favored a bit over twice as much as it should be. In a 6 item set it's favored over 3 times what it should be.

I think that could be tweaked a bit.

I played Diablo and Diablo II more than you can imagine, as well numerous other RPGs dating back to the original Wizardry and Ultima. And text based games before (and after) that, such as Adventure and Rogue (Nethack, yay!). Randomized loot tables are nothing new, and I don't see where I ever asked for the best equipment to drop like mana from heaven. The only thing I complained about was the ratio of weapon vs everything else drops for Sets.

Heck, I even like the gem dungeons now. I have over 6M in gold, so dropping 80k a dozen times or so to get a ton more amber gems is no big deal (my first experience was poor -- only 3 gems; I've found it to have 3-10 gems, averaging 5 or 6).

It's much better now; I think it's a viable alternative to the Power Dungeon, at least in some circumstances.

I went in with a L192 Allen using two +10 L180 daggers (so damage would be better if I had a sword, or if I wasn't being miserly on crystals). Used a step 19, L191 Fire Blade.

Here's how it works now -- everything starts off at Level+1 (193 for me). Once you find the Boar King somewhere in the 6 maps *EVERYTHING* instantly despawns and you get a message that the Boar King has reappeared somewhere. As things spawn again they are now 2 levels higher. This keeps up until you die (and don't resurrect) or run out of time.

I was able to kill the King 3 times, and saw him a 4th when I ran out of time. When he dies he drops 2 random set items and 4 other items (I got mostly magic, a few epics, no uniques -- but that's just one pass through). Pick 'em up and start searching for him again. I got nearly a full level of XP, which is what I get from a full Power Dungeon clear.

I found it to be a lot of fun, and a refreshing change from the Power Dungeon. The respawning really keeps you on your toes, and the time limit and unknown location of the King makes you rush around trying to find him.

Pros:
- You get 2 guaranteed set items per kill of the Boar King
- A nice change from the Power Dungeon
- Hide and Seek with pointy weapons!
- Bacon.

Cons:
- You only get 6 items per Boar King kill. If you need gold or items for alchemy, this is not a good choice.
- Mud everywhere.

I'm lv 20 with Allen any hints for getting gold? And all my alchemy recipes are locked. And i do low damage like 160 per hit and I'm pure dex, dual blader with dagger and sword, oh I can find any daggers or swords that are good from merchant help please!

I can't seem to complete the 'Researching the beserker set' quest, I've been through the sixth floor plenty of times, but there's nothing! Advice?

If I remember right, there's a room with teleport crystals. There's a hard-to-see chest in a corner on the right of one of those mini rooms--partially hidden by a column.
