As I think is apparent I am a new subscriber to Touch Arcade and since my last post I am flattered that I have managed to attract so much attention to my 1st impressions of this racer. My job sees me using a computer to write boring reports for most of the day so I apologise if I don't get on here as often as some of you would like to post more regularly but sometimes the last thing I want to do is use a computer when I get home. I spend as much time as I can playing games and this is a great site for all things iOS and much more besides.
I think when I was last on I also posted about the new Atari Arcade joypad?
Anyway I have since downloaded Race Illegal and now confirm that (in my opinion anyway) this game is awesome. The graphics may not be as polished as those of Asphalt or Hot Persuit but for me I think the handling of the tilt controls is spot on (being somewhere between the twitchyness of Asphalt and the under responsiveness of Hot Persuit!)
To finish off I would just like to thank those of you who defended my honour when in I was not on line to defend myself :-)
P.s. I'd just like to point out that if I were of a more delicate disposition this issue may have persuaded me not to post any more - food for thought!

Good Game

I liked this one. It's really fun. And who is a "shill"?

Now I can actually finish the game!

You will get a random device that makes your car go on boost for the length of the race and you can't turn it off. I get slow-mos with every single freaking bump on the road and it's not fun.

This is a stunning game. It looks and plays like a more refined Asphalt.

Some things aren't great-looking, however. The roadside stuff is flat.. the cars don't look awesome (nor are they real), etc...

But you don't really pay much attention to all this stuff when the game is in motion. And WHEN the game is in motion all the neat effects (lens flare, dirt and sparks flying at you) are really damn attractive.

I also appreciate the slower pacing of the game. Gameloft's racer is too fast, IMO, and you can never avoid cars coming straight at you...

With the story elements, the amount of races, and the customization, this one is a winner. ESPECIALLY at $.99 cents.

Ended up taking this one off my phone. No other game makes my device hot to the touch. Hopefully they fix this.

No offense to the developer, but the name of this game is pretty terrible...

I'm starting to dig this game on tv airplay. Didn't play much at all when it was on my ipad, but after I got hdmi, and found out this was airplay, gave it a second chance. Sooo much better on tv. I like it a lot now, cool sense of speed, I turn motion blur off on the tv for best graphics in my opinion, cool game!
