App description: Create your own epic saga of conflict, mythology, and community! This acclaimed game of magical storytelling blends interactive stories and resource management. Its set in Glorantha (the world of the games HeroQuest, RuneQuest, and soon 13th Age).

Its immensely replayable, thanks to over 575 interactive scenes and two objectives. Short episodes and automatic saving mean you can play even when you only have a minute or two. The built-in saga writes down the story for you. And advisors with distinctive personalities help you track your cows.

The gorgeous hand-painted artwork won Best Visual Arts at the second Independent Games Festival.

It's like they took the best parts of Civilization games and combined them with the best part of Choose Your Own Adventure style game books. What I like most about King of Dragon Pass is the seemingly infinite possibilities that the game has. I can't get enough of King of Dragon Pass. [Touch Arcade]
A wholly unique adventure that has no equal on the iPhone. [Pocket Gamer]
An interactive story with a level of complexity and brilliance that's rarely seen in video games. [Gamezebo]

Players say:
I am really happy to have found this game. It scratches so many itches: simulator, rpg, adventure book...Great work! I find myself playing it on both my iPad and iPhone. Very addictive!
I got this game at 6pm tonight. It's now 4am, and I've hardly scratched the surface of the depth of this game.
I now have a fun, engaging, thought provoking RPG on my iPhone, an RPG that fits in my purse and that I can play any time I want, not having to have my computer or Xbox 360 near me to do so.
If Bioware remade Civilization they'd be lucky to end up half as good as King of Dragon Pass.
It's impossible to describe the emotional tug you feel when an old and trusted advisor, who you've watched grow from a young upstart, dies of old age. Or when an exploration team disappears into the wilds, never to be heard from again. Or when a cursed clansman, shunned by his peers, sacrifices himself to stop a raid. This game will never leave my iPhone. That's the only accolade possible.

By the way, we are starting work on another storytelling game, Six Ages.

That's awesome.

It's like if you combined the game series Civilization with a game book. The decision screenshots that have been posted are a minor part of the game.
So it's like one of those 30-dollar dating sim/visual novel games in the Japanese App Store

Waiting for: Chaos Rings II, Phoenix Wright 123
I will always love: Kairosoft and CAVE Co. Ltd., Capcom, Godzilab, Simogo
Feel free to add me on Gamecenter; I'm Kirbychewy!
Dodonpachi is no longer my favorite iOS game.

(off-topic) You mean this?

Well, this is not for Japanese store alone.

I don't know but many great titles never see a price cut. FYI, please.

Statement: Star Wars has 2 characters with strange use of grammar: Yoda and HK-47. I pick HK-47 for it is meaner.

Honestly, I was never terribly good at games. - Finch (PoI S2E16)

Yes, like that I know that most of them are available in the U.S. but very few have been translated to English.

Bought this the second it went up. It's well worth the price and I really wish more devs would start porting their games over and have them be as polished as this really is.

My one complaint after nearly three hours zipped by is that the appearance of the text varies from so-so to poor at 2x. Otherwise I think the game looks fine.

Looking forward to spending more time with it. There is SO much going on here, it is a bit tough to wrap your head around. The interface is decent. I've made mistakes by accident a couple of times, but one interesting thing is that you can jump backward in time to the end of any year you have completed. No guarantee you will get the same events, though.

Then you need to dip your fingers in some mayo and smear it all over your iDevice screen for greater REALISM!

Well, I'm a big fan of civilization. Game books, you say? Can't really relate to that, so I'm still unsure whether to get this or not.

Waiting for: Forgotten Memories, M.U.S.E, The Shadow Sun, Galaxy On Fire 3, Daredevil Dave 2, JumpKnight: Missions, Topia: Age of Creation, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land, Sniper: Ghost Warrior, Max Payne, 2013: Infected Wars, Battlefield 3: Aftershock.
