I don't have a lot of time to post impressions, but

This game is a must have for rhythm gamers! Really great mechanics; smooth and challenging gameplay.

I disagree. I always keep up with the latest rhythm action games on iOS, so when this came out I went ahead and downloaded the lite on a relative's iPad. However, I didn't feel very connected to the game due to unresponsive and borderline broken controls. In particular, if I swiped the crossfader, it would always end my streak. I know I could tap it, but I found swiping to be more intuitive and fun and it's a shame that it doesn't work properly. Even on the developer videos, the streak is broken constantly by crossfader swiping. Ditto for the record scratching. I never felt like it responded the right way to my scratches, and it felt compressed on the right side of the screen. In addition, the streak counter popup was really confusing. It seemed to either pop up every ten correct responses, or it would pop up when I lost a streak. Why couldn't it simply be there onscreen at all times? It was difficult to activate the Dance power because the multiplier was so far away from where your hands were on the screen. As an iPhone owner I could complain about the lack of an iPhone release, but the game barely seems to function right on the larger iPad, and would be a nightmare on the iPhone.

I'm really disappointed, as everything else in this game truly has a lot of effort put into it. The graphics are top-notch and the music selection is sound for an indie DJ game. If the fading and scratching were tighter, then this could be one of the best rhythm action games in the store, but as it is, it's just mediocre.

I agree with all your gripes, but I'm still having a blast with the game.
I think the rating system needs an explanation too. I've been getting "ruler" on all these tracks, but it's only represented by a single red star. I think it would have worked better with a 5-star system like DJ Hero or Rock Band.

Definitely agree with the need for a constant onscreen combo counter.

I kinda like this too. It's by no means perfect (I'm a pretty good DJ Hero player and turntablist) but it's still jolly good fun. And I support the effort!
