I think that Gladiators has the most "accurate" physics from what I remember of putting in thousands of hours on the real tables... Although I don't think it is the most fun. But I use it as a comparative for physics of other tables... Also, you can "catch" the ball again like the old tables - the flippers feel more analog than digital - even though even the real tables it was a switch - the switches never felt like they were completely on or off - there was always a bit of slop... I'll have to check the left sided thing that Jeffy777 is mentioning - I generally remember pinball tables having a "side" to be on, because when we played coop pinball (one person on one flipper, the other person on the other flipper - as kids we couldn't afford to be playing a game all to ourselves - we had to share) we would fight for a side depending on the table we were playing because one side was favored just due to table shape, and where bumpers were, etc...

My favorites on the iOs world on War Pinball, Slayer, and am actually having a lot of fun with the Zen PB just out - although it seems a bit over the top - and have some problems with lag that are really bothersome... But, as far as "enjoy[ing] it the way it's meant to be" - you are probably accurate in your own assessment. The critical acclaim to me comes as I noted from my own remembrances of accuracy of ball movement, "feel" of the flippers, movement of the flippers, ability to place a ball where you want it, etc. If you watch where the ball is on the flipper in Gladiators when you flip it - that reproduces pretty accurately - on a lot of table, there is no relation to where the ball is on the flipper, and where it goes - which obviously makes no sense... in the end, its all about enjoyment though - so play the tables that are fun for you, and don't worry about the crowds. Although I find Pinball Tristan to be very accurate - I don't have that much fun with it.. although I know for a lot of people it is their favorite - I think at some level it just comes down to personal preference..

Anyways - Ghouls thanks for the hard work coming up with the list - I'm book marking it so I can go through it slowly and see if there are some interesting tables that I don't have - although I have a lot of them.

@haj & cplr & pluto6

Thanks for the show of support. Always appreciated.

ZEN Pinball Rollercoaster & ZEN Pinball Inferno have been removed from list since they seem to have been delisted with the release of the official "ZEN Pinball". I don't think anyone will miss them.

I've just saw Pinball City Paris on the Appstore. Its from the creators of Pinball City NY, i havent downloaded the game yet but it has what it seems to be nice graphics, a colorful representation of Paris.

What seems strange to me is that they have an HD and a "normal" version but both of them are universal, the difference on the file size is 10mb (SD 80mb and HD 90mb approx.) the app description says one is designed for Iphone 4 & 4s but i also says it has ipad retina graphics on it. the Hd says its designed for Ipad 2 and 3 so who knows whats that about.

P.S. Sorry if I kinda resurrected and old thread but I used this thread to almost make my entire Pinball collection on iPad so I guess I owed it this much!

Thanks for the list, don't know how I missed it before.

You could add Pinball fantasies HD.
