It is frustrating to get those failures, when you're waiting for that certain dragon type. Although you're lucky in two ways, you're long awaited dragons aren't limited. Not yet anyway, so you know that you can keep on breeding for some time yet.

Try Cold/Love for your Frosty, it's how I got mine. I ended up with lots of good stuff from that combo... including my 2nd Rainbow and first Sun. And Fire/Storm will usually get you a Blue Fire without too much trying.

Unfortunately I don't have a Love as I started only about a month ago. I just tried Fire/Storm again and have a 48hr wait.

Hi all. First time poster, long time reader. Feel like I know many here so well by listening in on your convos, woes, successes and advice. Thank you for helping me to lvl 30. Now my query ...

Saw a quick post that someone renamed a dragon. Can we really do that? Hope so, cause I think that would keep me entertained for HOURS while I breed magnetics for cash and panlongs/blooms for gold shrines.

Welcome to posting in the forum. It is a wonderful worldwide community of friends that share in one another's DragonVale accomplishments and challenges. We hope and laugh together and lend an ear when someone vents after trying for months for a certain dragon.

Changing dragon names is fun, there's been a Sandstorm named "Thorn" because it was such a pain in the owner's side to breed. Even though I keep my Mud dragon in the small pond, someone called it the "pond of shame", I renamed it "Mudstud" because it helped me breed my first Panlong and Sandstorm so it's my go to dragon when I need good luck.

To change the name, select the habitat, click on the dragon to open the dragon's information screen, click on the dragon's name in the red name area and your keyboard should open that allows you to rename the dragon as you wish.

Always nice to have new posters, so hope you will stick around and share your successes and woes with us too hehe....we are pretty passionate DV players, so sometimes our comments are a mixture of joy and frustration (as you already have read).....it's nice to know that we can share whichever moment here and there will always be someone (usually a few great posters) that will come along and share these moments, support and encourage when required.....they are an awesome bunch....friendships are formed here....Texas Ted has kindly answered your query very well....haha, Thorn was my renamed nemesis, a real thorn in my side that one

Although.....I loved Teds mudstud......very clever and witty....good one TT

Enjoy renaming yours, it's good fun and I think makes them more personal.....

Hi, I have posted here a couple of times but it has been a while. I do read the thread and thank you for all the post with hints on breeding dragons.

Today when I was looking at the egg market I noticed there was a Steel Dragon (metal/cold). When I go to the Dragonvale Breeding Sandbox and put in Metal/Cold all it shows is Mine. Is this a new dragon or did I miss it completely with the March 21 update?
