I can just say that Aquaria is a fantastic game and deservedly won the Grand Prize of the 2007 Independent Games Festival So, that's quite something to look forward to if you own an iPad!

I bought the PC version but it makes SO much more sense on the iPad. A dream coming true.

P.S. It's a wonderful game.

One of the few games I would still play on my computer (otherwise, when I do play, it's only on iOS), and the one game where I've been clamouring for an iOS release ever since I got my first iDevice.

And here it is. Clamours answered. But not for my device.

(With everything from RTS games, beat-em-ups, multiplayer fps games, titles with extremely complex interfaces (Dungeon Defenders), and even a twitch-based space shooter MMO, all for touch screen devices, we are well past the "can't adapt interface/gameplay to small screen" argument (Last time I ran across this reply from a developer was with Small World, a game that would work extremely well with pull-down menus on an iPhone screen.) So, unless developers judge that a certain game would not actually sell well enough to justify the porting process, or that they just don't care enough , I can see no reason ever to release a game for iPad alone.)

Well, regardless of whether it will ever be ported to iPhone as well, this is a treasure of a game, and a great asset for the iOS gaming scene!

Agreed with the previous post- why make this iPad only?

On another note, I have this game on my PC but I don't play it because it's just so hard! I cannot get past the boss in the Sun Temple at all. I really wanted to love this game, but I only like it at best. It's always nice to see PC games ported to the iOS, however.

Now, this is what I call absolutely exciting news. Not only is Aquaria one of the most beautiful indie games ever crafted and one of the most impressive takes on Metroidvania, but it's also perfect for touch controls.

Can't wait!
