The 2nd installment of the mobile version of the puzzle action game "KATAMARI" is here - with totally all-new stages!

Features totally new stages not yet released in previous "Katamari Damacy" titles!
Compatible with Retina display!
Universal compatible!
Virtual Pad compatible. Both Twin Virtual Pad & Single Virtual Pad are available!
You can now play using a variety of control methods, such as the twin virtual pad, single virtual pad, and acceleration sensor!

This application works with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone4, iPod touch 3rd generation, iPod touch 4th generation, iPad, and iPad2.

CAUTION
You can play a time trial on 1 stage on the free version.
By purchasing additional packs, you can play a total of 6 stages plus an extra stage.
The extra stages include appearances by various Namco characters!
Each stage has 4 modes: "Story", "Time Trial", "Exact Size Challenge", and "Eternal" modes.

[How to play]
It's simple!
Controlling the "Prince", just roll your "katamari" around to pick up various objects laying about each stage.
As you pick up objects, your "katamari" will get bigger and bigger, allowing you to pick up even larger "things".

I don't see anything about price though.

The graphics are what they are -- Katamari has always looked pretty old school. I actually downloaded it from the NZ store. The retina display graphics and new tank-like controls (similar to the console version) are appreciated. But the game still performs poorly on the iPhone 4, especially when transitioning from one size level to the next. At this point that's pretty much unacceptable. I love the game (played the crap our of it on my PSP) but I doubt I'll get it for iOS.

"Packs"? So there's an IAP for each level?

I'm hoping this will be the definitive version of Katamari on iOS.

There is a trial version where you can buy packs.
There *should* be a full version at a special introduction price with all levels included. That's how Namco announced it.

Yeah, but it seems like they're going with a free version, then IAP with 6 individual packs to have the whole enchilada. Does that mean this will cost $6.00 total? That sucks. Why do it this way? I was really looking forward to this, but at that price, I'll keep the old one for my fix. Suppose I could get the freebie and leave it at that....

Well I'll be skipping this one until a full paid version comes out. I'm not a big fan of IAP.
