The graphics are what they are -- Katamari has always looked pretty old school. I actually downloaded it from the NZ store. The retina display graphics and new tank-like controls (similar to the console version) are appreciated. But the game still performs poorly on the iPhone 4, especially when transitioning from one size level to the next. At this point that's pretty much unacceptable. I love the game (played the crap our of it on my PSP) but I doubt I'll get it for iOS.

I'm hoping this will be the definitive version of Katamari on iOS. |

There is a trial version where you can buy packs.
There *should* be a full version at a special introduction price with all levels included. That's how Namco announced it. |

Yeah, but it seems like they're going with a free version, then IAP with 6 individual packs to have the whole enchilada. Does that mean this will cost $6.00 total? That sucks. Why do it this way? I was really looking forward to this, but at that price, I'll keep the old one for my fix. Suppose I could get the freebie and leave it at that....

Well I'll be skipping this one until a full paid version comes out. I'm not a big fan of IAP.
