Turn-based JRPG's?

So I just beat Crimson Gem Saga (yes, I know it's actually a KRPG) and I really had a blast. I only found the game because of someone on TouchArcade recommending it, so I'm worried that there might be more AAA RPG titles out there that I don't know about. Could I get any recommendations? Below are my preferences:

- As I said in the title, turn based please- not action!
- Good or decent translation
- Flashy skills/attacks (I like flashy sprites the most but flashy effects are fine too)
- Not overly retro graphics...32 bit is probably best
- Good performance on a 3rd gen iPod Touch 32gb

I guess it could be fine if 1 or 2 of the things are missing. Also, I have already tried Chaos Rings, Eternal Legacy, Final Fantasy 3. Thanks!

Waiting for: Chaos Rings II, Phoenix Wright 123
I will always love: Kairosoft and CAVE Co. Ltd., Capcom, Godzilab, Simogo
Feel free to add me on Gamecenter; I'm Kirbychewy!
Dodonpachi is no longer my favorite iOS game.

Based on your requests, there's really not much more out there. Other traditional JRPGs (FF1 and 2, Monster RPG, Phantasy Star, Guardian Saga, Dragon Fantasy, etc. are pretty old school. Ash is closer, but the effects are fairly subdued. Lunar should be coming soon, but it's also 16 bit.

I would recommend looking into more tactical games like Final Fantasy Tactics, War of Eustrath, even Tactical Soldier: Undead Rising. You should also check out some of the Western RPG titles like Rimelands, Undercroft, and even The Quest. If you ever get an iPad, check out Avadon: The Black Fortress.

Thanks a lot squarezero, I will look into the games you listed! I realize that my criteria is rather struct and narrow.
