"Jelly Defense is my new favorite tower defense game, and not just because it’s new. The combination of unique gameplay mechanics, incredible graphics, and enjoyable sounds come together to create a fresh iOS gaming experience like no other. Couple that with the incredibly low introductory price of $1, the fact that no further in-app purchases are required to experience the full game, and the developer’s decision to build this as a universal app; and you have a game that I can unequivocally recommend to casual and hardcore gamers, alike." 5/5 mobiletechreview.com

My iTunes review :

As being a fanatic TD gamer (played most of the TD titles available)...i picked this game up as soon as this was released as i was oogling it already for some time.

First of all the graphics are great, original, clean and well thought of.
Every level is displayed in greyish colors...and the towers themselves are in red or blue...this way it easily recognisable what is placed where.

Besides of this you will see all kind of animated things happening in the background which really makes these levels alive.

Also when levelling up your tower you will see a clear difference between the levelled and the non levelled ones (tiny arms grow, more eyes can be seen).
Btw...all towers are animated in a great way.

Gameplay consists of tactically placing the right color of tower and upgrading them at the right moment.
Coins can be gained when a enemy is killed (have to be picked up when dropped)...and with these coins you can buy new towers or upgrade them.

Music and sounds fit this game quite well when looking at the cute setup and funny characters used in this game.

Main menu is clean and easy to navigate...i only cannot find all gamecentre related info (edit : guess i was cross eyed...it is just in the middle at the bottom of the main menu...duh... )

What i really like is that when a level is finished you can click it and see what the previous score was.
This gives me the urge to replay and better my score on a previous played level.

Anwyays...yes it could be true that this maybe isn't really for the hardcore TD player...but this is a great and fantastic TD game for any casual gamer due to the cute setup and easy understandable gameplay.

My score would be a 4.5 out of 5 as there are always things to iron out....for the rest it is a must buy for TD fans.

When you right click on the image and you see under copyrights:

"View all sizes: Medium 500 • Medium 640 • Large"

Choose the size you prefer and there you will be able to save your picture to your hard drive or device.

The music really caught me by surprise, it's very enjoyable.

Great overall package and a steal for 99 cents.
