For a start, to have to sit through a level and fail 5 times, when you might know you cannot handle it after 1 or 2, just seems like rubbing it in. And some people seem to prefer playing a game on easy mode anyway, which is an option that they get with possibly the majority of other games on the market that have difficulty settings. But also, there is simply the time wasted on waiting for easy mode to become active. If you know you do not want to play a level on regular difficulty, whether after a couple of tries or right from the start, you presumably have to just sit there and let the enemies come and steal your gems. Even with the new fast forward, there is potentially quite an investment of time involved here. Not good for those looking to waste a few idle minutes and even frustrating fore those in it for the longer haul. |

Personally, I can understand why you chose 5. It takes me about that long to figure out that I'm just banging my head against a wall.
That being said, I can also understand that some folks are smarter than I am, and they can figure that out in only 3. ![]() I like it either way, and I love all the new improvements. Thanks for listening to all our requests! |

Anyway, on a more positive note, I do quite like the game if truth be told. I think graphically it is one of the better examples of the genre and the quirky music is a bit love it or hate it I suspect, but I myself am a fan. I do feel it is maybe a little overly restrictive in terms of where the towers can be placed but it is nice to see a break from the usual grid system all the same. The need to research towers is interesting as well. It does make it a little more difficult to recover from a bad setup early on, as you cannot just sell something and put a more exotic tower in its place, if you did not have the foresight to research it. But I do like how it gives the player a few more decisions to make than in some other TD games. |

It’s definitely worth to consider. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Every feedback is valuable addition to our game in future.

OK. Can someone tell me if I am missing something? Just finished gold starring all the levels and saw the end scene. Then it tells me I can play all the levels at a harder difficulty. But all my levels are gone and I have to restart from the beginning? This is not good if it is the case. For example, my son likes to play the game also and it was nice for him to try different levels. Do I need to replay the whole game again to unlock levels?
I really enjoyed the game and for .99 it was a steal. Just seems some curious design choices were made. Sure they will eventually get fixed/changed. |

@gtcharlie: it works just as you described.
I must say we're having a really hard time debating on the difficulty. We wanted the game to present some challenge to the players, and it seems we've acomplished that. Some players dig it, some hate it, some are somewhere in between, but it was a conscious decision of ours. We want to save as much from that experience as possible, but we're also trying to make the game more enjoyable to greater number of players. The difficulty matter in general is definitely not closed yet, and there will still be some improvements made to it. Wether those will be big or tiny, remains to be seen, but we're working on it, and the feedback from the community is a very important part of this work. Thank you all. Keep enjoying the game, as much as possible, and don't give up on those tough levels

If someone wants to play a harder level and start over, let them do that, but it shouldn't be forced on someone who might prefer to replay some of the levels they spent ages unlocking. |
