Hey everyone - we're the developers of Penguin Patrol. We've traditionally focused on creating games for the Nintendo DSi, and we're finally taking the plunge into the App Store!

We started developing Penguin Patrol back in April of 2010 (). Development was of course a bit stop and go, but we wanted to put our best foot forward and make the game as polished and interesting as we could. We hope you get a chance to check out the game, and let us know what you like or don't like, or things we should change in upcoming updates of the game. Looking forward to seeing what you guys think!

We're planning to add in bonus sokoban-style levels in the next update (or update after that), most likely as an in-app purchase for people looking for more levels. In the meantime though, be sure to try to get all 3 stars - that's definitely where the additional challenge lies

Is this only free in certain parts of the world? If so, it would have been nice to specify. Not free in the Aus store and I checked around 6-7 hours after release.

Sorry guys, seems like you guys just missed the free promotion. We set the release date for the 28th, but because of the way Apple's servers work, it actually went live on the 27th at 8:00 PST, and so the price change started propagating exactly 24 hours later. We still hope you get to play the game though!

Thanks! We spent quite a bit of time early in the development to make sure the penguins in the game were really cute. That way, you felt bad if you left one or two behind and you'd want to figure out how to save them all

^ Very cool, thanks for posting up the first 15 minutes of the game! If you don't mind, what do you think of the game? Btw, if you aren't there yet, Level 16 introduces the first new type of penguin, and an all new environment as well.

Also, some news for all you Penguin lovers - Universal version is in review, plus an update with cool new art is on the way!
