Since Espgaluda II is also dropped to $7.99, there are possibility that Deathsmiles will follow.... or maybe not and this price drop is temporary.

Get it now, it's worth it!!!

Thanks for the sale

Anyone know the difference between the iPhone version and arcade version and the smart phone version? They seem to have different price points, but I have no idea how else they're different.

The arcade and smartphone versions have those single modes of the game, while the full version has both the arcade and smartphone versions included.

And as to why the game is "so much" - this game costs upwards of $120+ on ebay for xbox... having it on our idevices is mind-blowing. The amount of replay value within the game is insane, and the production qualities will amaze you. In other words - it's a console game on your iPod. It's current price point is CHEAP AS HELL!

Well I think both version is similar.

In smartphone mode you can transforms bullets into crystals while in the arcade mode you don't (so smartphone is a bit easier with the challenge of higher score as you collect crystals). I play more the smartphone version, so maybe somebody else who played both equally might explain other differences in more details.

And yes, it's not $.99 but sometimes we must know that quality need to be rewarded more. Dodonpachi at $7.99 is so worthy compare to useless free games with lots of IAP and ads.

oh... the difference between gameplay in the two?

Well -

Here's a guide written by the great, Vally here on TA -

http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=65302

it'll tell you what you need to know as to the differences in the modes...

edit - sorry - posted up the guide to DDPR, not ESPGaluda - here's the ESP. Guide - http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=51748

How's the gameplay compared to espgaluda? I bought recently the arcade mode version because I tought that they were to expensive when so many other shmups are so cheap but my gosh this is on another league of quality!!

What are the main differences with espgaluda or what aspects of the gameplay are tweaked? It uses too a super complicated (and utterly awesome) scoring scheme too?

Thanks in advance guys!

The gameplay is pretty much the same, but the scoring is, yes, just as complicated, if not more complicated than ESPGaluda. Both Modes have very different scoring, and the depth within the game is crazy. There's a hidden path in every level, as well as a second time through each level (where all enemies are harder) and a TRUE second time through each level (where all enemies are insanely hard) - and a hidden bee system that unlocks them (35 to unlock the second course, 45 to unlock the true second course). But comparing ESPGaluda to DDPR is kind of like comparing Sonic and Mario. Same type of gameplay, but two wildly different games.
