Default Palm Heroes 2 Deluxe -> $0.99
I just noticed that Palm Heroes 2 Deluxe is $0.99 for both the Iphone and IPad versions (normally $4.99 from memory). So if you remember and liked this game, go get it!

You get a sufficient number of maps with the initial download but the rest are IAP. There are a lot of maps available for IAP.

Complex enough it's not civilization but it's more complex than wesnoth or highborn

Oh yeah, and instabuy. Even with the existence of IAPs.

Palm Heroes was originally designed as a clone of Heroes of Might and Magic II in the most literal sense, so if you're having trouble finding sources concerning the iOS version of PH, you'd gain a lot from reading reviews of HOMM if you want to get an idea of what it is all about and how it plays.

yeah, this particular version of the game is new, but the code base should be rather old right now. i remember playing the pocket pc version on ipaq and a little google search even leads to this http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-...s-v0-041a.html
