Default Can I jailbreak on a new unibody macbook?

Hi,
I have a 2.4ghz unibody macbook that recently came out. I heard that there were problems with it with jailbreaking, but im not sure. Are there any problems? If so, what are they? Can I ruin my mac like this? Can my ipod die?

any help is greatly appreciated

Yea, you can jailbreak on an unibody, you may need the dfu mode fix thought. It is impossible to brick your iPod by jailbreaking it

DFU mode is Direct Firmware Update. You'll learn about all this as you go through. To enter DFU mode, you hold both home and power for 10 seconds, and then release power, and hold just home for 10 more seconds. Once you enter DFU mode, you must restore to something. You may have to download the USB kernel from OS X 10.5.5 in order for your Macbook to recognize DFU mode. All of this will be explained through here and during the usage of either PwnageTool or Quickpwn.

I did my Jailbreak on a 13" unibody Aluminum MacBook and it worked perfectly. I didn't have any problems with DFU mode or anything

QuickFreedom is probably easier on a Windows machine, but methods for the Mac are rather simple as well. It's all up to you

I have the new unibody macbook and I can personally confirm that you CAN jailbreak on them. I did run into a problem though... jailbreaking my iphone 3g v2.2.1 the pineapple boot screen was stuck on a loop after you install the firmware. It is a problem with the usb drivers (i heard it was a type of apple fix, not sure though). If you use a usb hub to plug into the mac, then the ipod/iphone into that, it works fine. That's what I had to do. I just went to staples and bought a cheap 4-port travel Belkin hub.

ALSO... it's wise to make a clean un-jailbroken backup in itunes first. Then restore your device before you jailbreak it, then you can resync to add your saved contacts or whatever. The reason being that if you have a crap load of apps (sum 4+ pages worth) it'll freeze on you during the process. Which is what happened to me. I ran into 2 problems and both were solved, i'm pretty positive you can't brick your device when jailbreaking. I hear with unlocking it's a different story.

This is my first post, so I hope this helps!

Yea. I did read somewhere about it working better with a USB hub (in redsn0w readme for 2G jailbreak) but, yea. You can do it either way. You can't brick your iPod. Period. Never. Ever. Also, just use redsn0w from redsn0w.com Easiest way, Mac or PC. Linux too.
