Just won my first game. The end sequence is very satisfying.

I'm really having a hard time resisting this one....I have really enjoyed all of Fantasy Flight's Board games. I think the original Elder Sign board game is far to easy, but it sounds like they have scaled this one nicely. I am just not sure how well this "light" version was ported. I will just wait for a video review to help me decide for sure.

aargh!! I've played three games and lost them all. Do you buy glyphs with your investigators?

I ended up using my credits only to heal my investigators and to buy a couple of Elder Signs. I used a lot of the lock-glyph items and often started a mission with extra yellow and red glyphs. If I understand correctly, you have to take on missions with monsters attached, otherwise you end up kind of screwed when midnight hits. I am sure that luck played a role, too. I actually lost one of my investigators to madness and had but all but three of the doom slots filled, so it wasn't a blow out.

Look for the missions that give out more than one Elder Sign -- that helped me a lot.

Well, soooooo...this looks pretty brilliant.
They had me at Lovecraftian Horrors. It was totally unnecessary to mention this was made by Fantasy Flight Games. Basically there is no possibility that this won't be worth $4. |
