Is it just me or is Cerberus' Ferocious Bark not so ferocious. One slipped past my dodged interrupt and didn't do anything. I've let all ferocious barks go through and nothing happens...
So far none of the combat is very ferocious... I think I've died twice but only due to my lack of paying attention... grinding while watching a movie will do that to you. :P

By the way are you Shadonna?

So I'm trying out the Justicar class ... and it's so much more gear-dependent than the others that it really makes you consider buying IAP items

Firstly, I'm going to apologize for the first impression post I made before. While this class is much more challenging in comparison to the others, it's not impossible to play or as boring as it first seems. A very slow start, but decently fun later on.

The uniqueness of this class (or I guess, where the fun is at) is that you can play two different styles at the same time, given enough silver coins or gold shields to keep your equipment up-to-date. Switching your equipment between fights to fit the situation lets you play in slightly different ways (even though your skills stay the same). 2-hand weapons hit hard but are slow, especially if the enemy lands an additional slow on you ... but you can literally clear an entire fight in 2 hits (1 if you land a massive crit after boosting your own damage). The danger is that you take 3-5 hits from each enemy between swings if you're Slowed ... so you're a glass cannon. 1-hand weapon + shield means you take very little damage per hit, but your attacks are as weak as a SW's white damage. Things still can get rather painful if you get slowed though, since you don't have as many tools as the other classes to level the playing field ... only a single-target stun in tier 2, and an AoE stun (50% chance) in the tier 3 skills.

This class is severely gear-dependent due to the lack of control tools, so if you're the damaging type, you'll have to make sure your weapon is always one of competitive damage while sacrificing potential upgrades to other slots. The shield-type will have to make sure your defense is always up to par, or else you'll be eating a ton of damage very quickly. IAP ancestral items will solve that problem easily, but if you don't want to buy IAPs, you'll have to stay with a single playing style and grind like hell for silver coins.

Still ... in the end, once you can get past the first 8 or so levels, it starts becoming more fun and flexible. Again, much slower than the other classes, but eventually it evens out once you start finding the right equipment and are able to afford upgrades every 3-ish levels.

Random bug report:

I haven't nailed down exactly what prompts this bug, but sometimes when I home-button out of the game and then return via the multitask bar I lose the ability to purchase energy with gold shields. The little "+" simply disappears. To get it back I have to enter into a battle.

Anyone else seen this?

:-P

Bug?: when I minimise the game while I'm in one of the locations with a chest (that cost energy to enter), my energy regenerates but my health does not.

So I hit the level 16 slouch a few days ago and pretty much stopped playing... Yeah.. it looks like the current version was only designed to go up to about level 20, and like MacinJosh said level 16 starts to feel like a pointless grind. The only feat I can accomplish is killing beasts, but there is no dedicated zone to grind beasts so they're few and far between and I just don't have the energy to do it. Killing the hunter would be great but who knows if I'll make it that far.

Okay Venan, we're ready for full release now

What level are you? I think it's one of the locations that only appear at higher levels.
