Is this like in that program iExplorer (or something like that)? Or just the ipa? Or is it jailbroken?

Beginning to wonder about this myself. I like the way things are right now and if this update has too many hand holding additions I am not going to like that. What I won't like is the constant red 1 that will appear on my app store icon. This is the very first time I would say "oh well" to that. That is how strong I feel.

But the part that is comforting is at least I played to my satisfaction that even if a tutorial is included, I don't need it. I figured it out on my own. Major percentage of this game to be honest and for those that are waiting for the tutorial to play - they are indeed missing out an a major portion of the game and satisfaction that you get from discovery.

As for the tapping? I change the way I hold the device and use my index finger if using my thumb gets too tedious. You make do, you know? There has to be SOME way to play without wrecking your hand or wrist! I figured out today that stocking my floors in Tiny Tower aggravates he tendonitis in my thumb much more than this game!

The one thing is the craft book. Yes, I can find the recipes again, etc. But I am not sure how many short I am of the achievement and I may not update until I get that. I at least want to know that I got that on my own. At this point I find myself frantically trying to find all the recipes before the update hits - and that is no fun.

Honestly? Maybe the full craft book should have been an IAP or something. That way those of us who don't care to look for the pages can find them and those that don't want to, buy. It's what every other game does - charges for convenience right?

@pixbits - maybe it isn't too late to think of that huh? You deserve some extra money, especially if you are changing so much for so few. Then if people REALLY can't live without it, they can give you an extra couple bucks for your trouble!

Don't worry, we're sure you will like our update . We think it is a good compromise now, it's challenging without being frustrating.

No, when you have plugged the iphone into computer (on pc at least). if you click on the iphone icon and then the apps tab, the itunes fileshare should list all the apps which have filesharing enabled. if you click on junk jack in that list, there should then be visible several files. one is called char info, then there is world1 world2 and world3. right click each file and copy to desktop (it does not allow selecting of multiple files so you have to do each file seperately). Simple as that, so no jailbreaking or messing with iexplore(which incidentally, has completely stopped working for me at the moment)

1) Open iTunes
2) Select your iPhone on the left
3) Click the Apps tab (you may have to scroll down a bit)

Looks like this:

I love it when apps let you save like this!

Agreed. This is the first game app I've ever seen that lets you do something like this. Seems like it could potentially be abused for save scumming, but, again, it's a sandbox game. If cloning blocks is what you need to do, it won't affect me any.

As a bit of clarification to scarypharaoh's instructions, at least with iTunes 10.5 + iOS 5, I was able to shift select all the files and save them to a specified location in one step.

In any case we didn't insert a pre-made book with ALL recipes. We integrated it in UI removing the difficulty to craft it from beginning (which was the steeper step) so that it's available from start but it contains just a set of pages (around 30) which mix gameplay and UI how-to together with basic crafts.. every advanced craft must sill be discovered and inserted in book as before..

Oh, I almost forgot, all the craftbook will be reset with update
You're right, the craft system itself certainly is not random, I choose words poorly and I apologize.

What did feel random to me was my issue with the torch. I made one totally on accident and couldn't figure out how to do it again. As others have pointed out if the player can't make a couple simple items early on, the game becomes aggravating (I was stuck underground twice in the dark and had to reset worlds 3-times).

To some of you others sounding harsh, shame on you! Have you no faith what-so-ever in Pixbits making the update truly awesome? Are you really so afraid they're going to destroy your precious baby?

Keep the faith and keep playing, if you'll excuse me I'm have to go get my bottom wiped.

I would love a seasonal update with new content for Christmas. I would gladly pay an IAP for it.
Including something like this.
Christmas music
A Christmas tree
Present decorations
A snowman
Stocking decorations
Snow blocks
Christmas lights (instead of torches)

Well something like that anyway, as Christmas is my favourite season and my house is just begging to be decorated for the season. :-)
Just an idea.
this would be soooooo awesome.

i'm waiting to purchase until the update comes out so I can play it. but stuff like this would be so cool

Where did I ever ask for a book containing all the recipes? (I never have).

I do want to be able to experiment with the craft system, but that system as is can be improved upon. It's too random, it should not be this random, vague and haphazard. I spent $3 for a game I have to read on a website how to play?

I'm sorry but the game you obviously can't evaluate objectively with an open mind isn't perfect...yet.

Since you don't seem interested in positive constructive conversation I'm choosing to move on and will quietly wait for the update.
I spent 20$ on Minecraft and I had to look online for guides, so you shouldn't be whining of a 3$ game!
