I don't mind when developers drop the price a week or so after release. I'd you want the game bad than buy it right away, if you think a pricecut will come soon than hold out and wait. Simple really and fair IMO.

Yup, couldn't agree more. We all know, or very quickly get to know, that new iOS games may well be given a sale a few weeks/months after launch. That's the way it is on this platform. If it bugs you then simply don't buy on release.

I'm gonna give this a go at the current price point

I've just bought this game and it completely fails to work on my 4th Gen iPod Touch (64gb) running iOS 5.0.1.

It shows the EPOCH LOADING... screen for a few seconds and then crashes back to the home screen every single time. I've rebooted the device several times and made sure there are no other apps running. I've even tried deleting the app, rebooting and re-installing afresh. Nothing works.

I see so many complaints about not working on iPad 1 which is what I have... I guess I'll pass until there is a more reasonable update. Don't see the point on buying something that does not work even after being fixed.

Mine worked once, but after that, same problem as you. Shows the loading screen then crashes. Using a Ipod Touch 4 with 8 gb running iOS 5.0.1

That's rather odd. When I first opened EPOCH up, it did the same crash thing. I restarted it, and it was all fine all of a sudden. iPod Touch 4th Generation with 32 Gigabytes and running iOS 5.0.1.

Did what you said, and after a restart, it works perfectly. Thanks!

Just another in type of game with predictable patterns and great look.

I've read somewhere that this happens when you don't have a valid internet connection in your device, possibly under WiFi condition. I don't remember where I read it though...

My internet connection was quite valid. You most likely read it in the FAQ section on the EPOCH website, seeing as I read something akin to what you said on there.
