On the new campaign : props. Love the story, love the new units and setting. From a tactical point of view I appreciated you forcing the player to assault in the later chapters, changing up the "form a firing line and shoot anything that isn't blue" tactics I used in the first 3 chapters.

On the price debate : you stated the campaign would be free on this forum, then stated it wouldn't be due to circumstances outside your control on the same forum. Key point: you also did this before release, so I don't see any fault on your side. Besides, a new campaign isn't traditional app store IAP bull, its effectively added content, something we should in fact expect to pay for.

On a personal note, I'm glad the adds fell through, I ****ing hate adds.

On a more serious note, it's disconcerting the way these "gamers" behave. Here's a small team delivering top shelf content that is on par with stuff from the desktop, maintaining lines of communication, and clearly NOT nickel and diming anyone. A Ravenmark level is not a Cut the Rope level in terms of assets and time spent making it, nor is this a game that even if it were $0.99 would sell 1/5th the number of copies of Cut the Rope. If they have to go back on a hundred "promises" to give me stuff for free so they can actually keep selling me such top shelf content at a fair market value then I hope they keep on breaking their promises
Thank you all for the show of support! It's really appreciated, through and through. I will say that I will always listen to any unhappiness on a player's part. As a game dev, my ultimate goal is to bring enjoyment, not grief, and I'll do what I can to make sure that's the case.

I think this forum is a good place for people to air their concerns and gives us an opportunity to listen and respond. Feedback, good or bad only serves to make games better - if applied well, of course!

Default Wikipedia!

Hey guys - we've been working away on quite a few things lately, with one of our projects being a wikipedia site for Ravenmark. We hope that it'll allow people to browse the world of Ravenmark at their leisure (and who hasn't been lost reading and jumping between pages and pages of wiki entries?)

With that being said, if anyone has experience with wikipedia and would like to volunteer some time to help out - we'd definitely appreciate it

The wikipedia page can be found here. If you would like to volunteer anything (even advice on running a wikipedia page) - just shoot us an email using the feedback button in-game.

cheers!
-kev

If you guys work on the game mechanics at all, it'd be nice if it were possible to see unit types while zooming out, and if it were possible to have more control when using special abilities. For example, clicking on the spot where you want to explode when using Sacrifice, rather than on a target. It's the only way to reliably hit multiple targets at once. And the 2x/3x speed toggle would be more useful as a button on the screen during battle than in the settings.

All minor stuff, though. I'm loving the new campaign.

I'll reevaluate how the abilities are triggered, sure. Any others you'd like us to look at?

Regarding the zooming, the reason we made the banners a solid colour are two-fold, it a) tells the player when the banners are too tiny to tap and b) give a very quick feedback on where all the elements are on the map. I'll talk to the guys and see if we can come up with a better design solution.

For the speed thing, I'll need to respectfully decline. There's too many things on the screen already.

I have to admit I hadn't really thought of that. No problem.

I'll browse but I just had a quick question.

I bought this a LONG time ago bc I saw how well it was supported but I hvent had a chance to play it. I plan to of course, I heard rumors about async play coming as a seperate app? is this right? I'll still buy it if it's like that but I dot follow this thread and was wondering. async play definitely makes me more interested about playin this game at all.

thnx

Finished the campaign and loved it, especially that last epic battle. Fantastic music! The art was great, too.

We've got quite a bit of story left to cover though... can't wait.

It's gonna be a separate app, coming out some time next year. =)
