so its now turn to freemium? please answer yes or no. i just hate this trend when all games i paid has turn to free games now. its just suck and you know what perhaps you can earn more money by making freemium game, but on the other side you just lost your potential customer for your future product. oww one more thing, what the hell with the free icon on the update, i pay for this game and i know its not free, so why do i get the free icon too?

Try it out, hope you all like it. I'd love to hear your feedback.

P.S. oh and one more note: even though it is free, there are no ads.

I have decided to support your decision to convert this game to freemium. I played it quite a bit tonight and pondered what to think.

First, thank you for giving past owners 20,000 in coins. With that, I was able to unlock ALL game levels and ALL Game modes. I still have a ton of coins left to buy new guns, Continues, etc.

So I like how you reward us early adopters. Thanks.

Also, thanks for the new ipad retina graphics, it looks much bettter now on my ipad!

While the game seems to be harder now, I actually like that because I felt the game was too easy before. And now that I unlocked all levels, it is better harder.

So because of these things, I have decided to support your decision to go freemium. I will post a thread in the freebies section.

But maybe you can take the free out of the game icon, it makes it look cheap and also will put a bad taste in the mouthes of the early buyers.

I'm glad you enjoyed our changes.

The free on the Icon is likely temporary. We just wanted to be sure the people that have previously seen the game and declined to pay 99c, realise that it is now free.

I'm glad you got the 20,000 coins. Unfortunately this is only available to those who still have it installed and have a save game. I couldn't detect it any other way.

Cheers,
Antony.

Well that ****ing sucks. It's not on my iPad anymore, I paid for it, I did what I usually do and pushed the update all button on iTunes on my MacBook Pro and emptied the trash. Went to this forum to find free games and now this crap. So yeah, no extra coins for having supported and purchased this game.

Ugh, I utterly hate the mobile freemium model crap...just another game to delete off my system. I think if a company makes a game premium, they should keep it premium. I can't stand all these premium games going to the lame crappy freemium model. Getting tired of this crap on mobile systems.

ehm, i don't know, maybe....+1000 to this?btw, since the dev not responding to my post ill make this one my last post and quick, for early supporter just remember the company who decide to brought this idea on making this freemium and never support them in any other way. I'm not talking about a dollar here but trust and appreciation for your early customer. the hell with this, its only a dollar anyway....the last one you'll get from my pocket.

You did... Answer was fine. Just being a nutzo...
Anyway. I deleted the game a while ago, but definitely see that you guys added a TON to the game, and surprised to see all of this added to the game for FREE instead of IAP. Really, you guys could have left it paid, and charged more for the new modes... So THANK YOU for that.... All your hard work, for free... =oP

Now I gotta replay to earn coins, but it's fine cause I really enjoyed it the first time through.

Will probably wind up buying coins to help support you guys... Really, this update is huge. THANK YOU!

Cheers for giving it another play!

We made it free because we were struggling to get new players to pick it up. There are so many great free games out there now that you really need to be free with in apps to compete. This is why we had to go free.

We also decided to make this version free rather than make a new version and leave this one alone because:
a) it would split the downloads so we'd have less chance to get on the top lists
b) it would split the game center leaderboards
c) it's be a bunch more work to keep two concurrent builds up to date. So we decided to bite the bullet now and try and compensate players that had already paid for it (with the free coins). Sadly some of you will miss out. But we have added plenty to keep you loyal players busy even if you do have to start from the beginning like everyone else

Cheers again.
Antony.

Reading from previous posts, I did have a save game file (iPhone), but received no 20k coins after the update. Any chance to retrieve that bonus?

Hmmm I'm reserving my judgment until later, I bought this on release and only just recently deleted it, sad to see it go freemium but I'll give it a go, as it was a really good game, (and IMO the change to freemium didn't spoil "whale trail")
