900mb free, 700mb Myst file won't load?

I don't know if this is a wide-spread issue or anything, but I have around 900mb free on my iPhone, and Myst says that it is ~700mb, but when I sync my phone it says I don't have enough free space. So I'm like, WTF???
Is there a fix for this?

you need double the space to download a file, 700 would be about 1.5 gb

Smoking Okin is spot on... you are going to have to clear some space

Absolutely right.

Your device downloads the 700mb file
Prepares the installation
Transfers the file to the correct folder making another 700mb file
Then deletes the original download

wow, myst is 700mb? That seems a little excessive, considering the game came on one disc back in the 90's. Maybe they added more features?

and forgive my ignorance, i never got into myst.

I didn't know that. Why is that necessary?

Well a CD ROM holds around 750Mb of data. Plus, didn't they improve upon the visuals?

Because the first 700 MB is the installer file, the next 700 MB is the actual installed game. While the game is being installed it requires both the installer and the installed game location to have free space. After that the installer file is deleted, leaving you with a single 700 MB installed game.

I actually had 9gs available and still needed to delete items to install Myst. Then I reinstalled the other apps afterwards. It's screwy, but it works.
