Space Tripper is finally available.

Update: Space Tripper 1.1 is available now with the following additions:
- Relative Touch Controls
- Easy Mode (More lives, and the level doesn't restart when you die)
- Auto tilt calibration (Happens every time the level starts, or every time leaving the pause menu)
- Easier to access manual tilt calibration.

AppStore Text: The award winning, top down, arcade, knuckle busting, shoot 'em up by PomPom is now available for iOS. Space Tripper (AKA Astro Tripper) has 14 challenging levels across diverse 4 worlds, with loads of enemies and huge boss battles.

Be ready for an extreme challenge. (Update: An easy mode has been added for those who would like a less extreme challenge)

This game is quite unique on the AppStore being a 3D Top Down shooter, with heaps of enemies and a super smooth 60 FPS.

To the Space Tripper iOS Beta Testers: Please let me know if you would like a promo code and thanks to everybody who gave us feedback.

Whaaaaat?!? Finally! I've been looking forward to this one for a while.

I am curious about the framerate though, since I heard that it drops considerably in the Steam release during certain levels.

Playing: Pocket Mine 2, Terra Battle
Waiting:Last Class Heroes, Chaos Rings 3, Starships
GameCenter: StriveMind

I am playing this all the time on my wimpy iPad1 and I can tell you that the enemy is sometime too fast to handle.

The only gripe here for now is all the achievements are on OF but not GC. Any future plan to address this? (and possible touch control?)

Statement: Star Wars has 2 characters with strange use of grammar: Yoda and HK-47. I pick HK-47 for it is meaner.

Honestly, I was never terribly good at games. - Finch (PoI S2E16)

No promo, thanks. It is my privilege, as a clueless guy, to participate.

It takes a little getting used to the difference between iPhone and iPad controls, but I actually find iPad easier. You might also want to Try changing the tilt sensitivity in "Help and Options->Settings->Tilt Sensitivity"

If that is true, it is a bug and we will do an update to fix it.

I was talking about the framerate, sorry. The tilt sensitivity is done right (and it remembers my setting from beta). The game is as hard and fun as I can remember...

I click on "Achievement", the OF dialog shows up, I click refuse and I am right back at the Main Menu...

We hadn't seen any issues at all on the iPad 1 however, we don't have a 3G iPad which might be a little slower. Actually, if the frame rate drops, the game should slow down a bit.

Ok ok, I'm not sure if we will change that. You should still get a Game Center Achievement though. I guess you can only view the OpenFeint achievements from the game.

3G iPad1 is running very well, I can assure you that. The only time it slows down is when iOS Notification kicks in but it is not too bad. I mean the framerate is so good that the enemies are way too fast to be handled.
