Best update ever!!! Touch control works perfect and I think that game is much easyer to play with it. So I'll stick with "old fashion" tilt control and use touch only when playing it on my back! And BIG thanks for adding auto-tilt!!! ... And easy mode rocks!
And... Did I say already how much this game rocks!? Go grab this gem... now you don't have any excuses

I haven't tried it on my iPad yet, but I don't care for the touch control on iPhone. It isn't precise enough, and I block too much of the screen with my fingers. But that's okay, because I like the tilt control just fine. I'm guessing touch control will feel a bit better on the larger iPad screen.

Ok, as everybody seems to already know, Space Tripper 1.1 is out now.
The update includes: - Relative touch controls - Easy mode (More lives, and you don't restart at the beginning of a level) - Auto calibrate tilt option - Easier to access manual tilt calibration Quote:
Touch definitely works much better on iPad where your fingers don't get in the way, and you have a lot more room to drag the ship. I enjoy playing with the touch controls my self on both devices, but I feel more comfortable with tilt, except when laying down, when touch definitely wins. |

Yeah I tried the touch controls on my iPod, and do not like them at all. I know it's because I just love the tilt controls, and it feels funny, but hopefully I'll be able to get more comfortable with it so I can play in bed and in the car.
Anyway, just wanted to say that I think you did the touch controls perfectly (yeah, even though I don't like em), and that they do not really have any advantage over tilt controls, which is what I was really worried about (aside from taking away from the tilt gameplay, which now, for me, getting right and good at through practice is a big reason I love the game so much) - but it seems that the touch controls will also take some practice, and aclimation, and hopefully those of you who do end up using the touch controls will end up loving this game as much as those of us who love the tilt controls because of it. So yes, FANTASTIC job with everything. Thank you for the best game I've ever had the pleasure of playing of my iPod. =oD |

Since this now has touch controls, I just pick it up and it Is fantastic. The touch controls are perfect and the game is awesome.
The only thing I see and maybe I missed it, is that there seems to be no way to change control set up with out closing out of the app. I selected A and then wanted to try B and then tilt and I had to close out of the app to change. Other wise when the game starts I no longer get a control choice. |
