Chapter 3 is so much harder. Can no longer 1shot those melee wolverines and there are so many of them. I guess i have to farm some cash

Well I am just here to share my mere opinion about the game, and please don't take it as something like fundamental truth. The reason I encourage people to get the crossbow first is because of the following two reasons:

The crossbow is more capable of dealing with high health mutants, and its penetrating power makes it very useful in various situations. This makes it worth the crystals you spend, and it will remain a useful piece of weapon in the future (something you will never regret buying).
If you want to master this game, you have to learn how to run and gun in circles. While you can use an RPG for that purpose, the precision required for the crossbow and its very low fire rate makes you learn much better in running and gunning. It is just natural to run and gun with the crossbow, as you are kind of forced to run when you have to wait for it to reload. And as a result you will flick shoot this weapon often, and gradually learn the essential skills in Bullet Time without you ever being aware of.

Against bosses what gun type do you use?

Whats the fastest way to earn crystals? I have seen the patch and like the new gear, I want to buy the RPG and Apollon but need ALOT of crystals.

I'm sure others have differing preferences, but I use a crossbow on all bosses aside from Tooth-Ache from Campaign 3, in all 3 modes.

Crossbow simply because it is maximum one-hit damage, so boosting it with Crits, Damages, whatever, actually boosts single-hit DPS...

On Tooth-Ache, I switch to an RPG, for the reasons discussed in earlier posts, but to summarize, he is so large and has so many means of causing immediate critical damage, I find I prefer to damage him less with each shot and rely more on splash damage, simply because so much of my energy is focused on surviving, unlike with other bosses...

I would also like an updated answer to this question...

Co-op MP is an excellent source of Crystals, but getting dropped after 17-18 Waves means little or no Crystals, and a lot of wasted time. On the plus side, we're shooting for Level 70 now, so every run gains a player experience points.

I received 20 for a 21 wave run yesterday, but when I get dropped early, like I did in Wave 19 during a separate run yesterday as well, I get as little as 0. If I remember correctly I had 1 when I got dropped early in Wave 19. Wanna guess which waves all the Crystals are hidden in?

Solo runs solve the dropped connection problem, so that's always an option if you don't mind playing alone.

Campaign 2 in Hell Mode used to produce pretty well, but I'm having rather dismal luck there as of late...

Anyone got a "Crystal Mine" they'd like to share?

BTW, you totally want the Apollon and the Harbinger... Trust me.
