Yeah, Bullseye as my primary and the Stinger as my secondary right now. I'm stockpiling crystals for armour and silver for a Damage IV add-on right now.

Hello.
I have received many crystals repeating "the dig". I have not tried to see what the drop rate is after the update but I can assure you I have received upto 4 crystals just on that part of the map. My average would be 2-3 crystals/ 2.5 mins. There will also be times where no crystals will drop but after repeating it so many times you will come to a conclusion that there maybe a pattern of when crystals appear or not. Atleast what I believed. I earned enough crystals to purchase everything. All menus are sold out. Now I must open a flea market. So will Jeppe have another update to conclude John Irish with a perfect gear setup that will cost a fortune? Or will he remain as is? |

Either way, from what I've found...it's easier to hit stuff when they're closer to you (duh), but actually looking at your right stick and trying to draw a parallel line with it helps a little with targets at mid-long range (as in, a line parallel to the direction the enemy is from John Irish). In co-op multiplayer? I just sorta start flicking crossbow bolts towards the red arrow indicators before I can actually see the mutants. Good thing this isn't an archery contest, or I'd be a complete laughingstock >.> Any pros and/or veterans have advice for two crossbow noobs? Oh, and Darthguy, Bravo Two's guide helps quite a bit if you haven't already fished around for info :P http://www.bullettimeguide.com/ It's the "Run and Gun" article you want, if you're looking at how to use a crossbow properly in Co-op MP. |

I have repeated "The Dig" during one hour, just for the sake of the test. I could complete it 15 times (average 4 minutes -I do not know if in your 2.5 mins. you included the time needed for the burial and delivery of John Irish every time he must die and be born to start again). And I got 11 crystals in total: 0/0/1/0/0/2/1/1/0/2/1/0/2/1/0. Average: 0,73 crystals. It is clear that random means different things in your case and in mine ....

I am now grinding to build a CPF (Crystal Pension Fund) for Johnny ... I wish Jeppe would include a feature that would allow to donate used weaponry and armors to non-profit organizations, charities and new players. I have armors and weapons of all types of all colour codes and would love to make some room in my garage ![]() ![]()

Regarding the Eastwood hat, now that I've settled into a comfortable groove with the Apollon and the Harbinger, I rely on Speed more than ever, and giving up 4 Speed for 4 Crit just doesn't make sense for me at the moment. Could I afford it? Almost... Again. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Do I want it? Meh. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Although I was seriously hoping for a trade-in system in this update, I would much prefer to donate weapons to new players... I would frankly pay 100 Crystals to see what certain newer players would be capable of armed with my Behemoth and Nine-Inch, based on how they're currently doing with substantially weaker weapons... ![]() ![]() ![]() Having said that, I know that what little skill I have came as a result of first "paying my dues" with weaker weapons and armor, but still, I sure do have a lot of old gear lying around... Yeah, I'm thinking about whether I'll want a flamer depending on how finances shape up. There a few other items I'm eyeing which I hear are pretty useful... -------- And on that note...veterans! Spare a thought, and perhaps a crystal or two, for the less fortunate and skilled here. Sponsor a Noob today!

![]() ![]() ![]() My short take on Flamers... Low level Flamers: Useless, except on very low level mutants, and then the damage taken while using must be factored into the equation. High Level Flamers: In Co-op MP: If you own Death Knight/Paladin Armor, don't mind using a bunch of Medipacks, and aren't concerned about team multiplier, they're useful in Waves 1-6/10 (arguably later under very specific conditions), used sparingly. I personally wouldn't arm even a high level Flamer past wave 10 in Co-op MP unless I was Speed-Boosted. In Campaign: Extremely useful if you own Death Knight/Paladin Armor, on everything up to Ranged Mutants, but again you'll end up taking damage, so that must be considered in the final analysis of utility. High level Flamers with multiple Poison Add-ons are especially useful on Spiders, Lurkers, Wasps, and Melee Mutants. Also bear in mind, Flamers kind of require Poison Add-ons to be truly efficient... In short, the issue with Flamers is damage feedback and speed. You have to stand right on top of what you're killing, and have to be relatively stationary while doing so. With a shotgun (another close-range weapon), the feedback is instantaneous, and you're still moving for the most part. With Flamers, the feedback is slower, you're not as mobile, and each mutant could potentially get in a hit or ten before they die or you notice you're taking damage... DBC |
